[USS Chimera] BACKLOG =/\= SD240811.11 =/\= Personal Duty Log =/\= Lieutenant-Colonel Vlimar PontBrillant

== USS Qashqai ==

Vlimar was overlooking the repairs of the Q from his console. The engineering department were ordered to put pieces back togueter, and forget about fancy soon-to-be-nonworking improvement. But, he knew that the pleasure of an engineer is to find a way to "improve" what he can and restricting this pleasure can be seen as an act of inter-Federation war. In a way, Vlimar was thankful for the engineers to have hold the Q in one piece for the battle, but it was part of their duty, so Vlimar didn't feel obliged to commorate them.

Vlimar was also trying to end Shane's silent agony. He knew that the Commodore was worried about his family... which is normal, due to the circumstances. No one like to think about their family enclosed in a escape pod and landing on unknown land. The kids might enjoy the ride, but, let's pretend the escape pod got misdirected and landed on a Class B planet... or on the polar extremes? Vlimar detected the signal for children and immediately let Shane knew... It was his wy to thank his leader for such an opportunity of tagging along in the Q.

Vlimar felt overly tired, but wasn't ready to leave his post just yet. He looked around for an ensign and grabbed one of them, named "Johnston", by the arm. "Would you mind getting me a coffee, espresso, very tight?", he asked. The Ensign couldn't say no to another officer, especially not to a Lieutenant-Colonel which the reputation is known for... well... be unknown. That said a lot, in a world that everything is readily accesible by two or three hit of a finger on a console...

The Ensign came back to Vlimar with the coffee. Vlimar thanked him with a nod of the head and started sipping it. It was good. Very good. Vlimar waved at the Ensign again and pointed at Shane. He though that Shane could use a little booster as well.

The information came and go, the Manticore's remains were searched and pieces of it were taken by a survey ships. The D'Artagnan was heading towards SB234 to be debriefed, then heading back to the Copernicus Fleet Yard, to be finished... The Q was heading slowly to the Starbase, where it will, mostly likely, drydocked for a few days.

Vlimar was, at the same time, scanning and tracking Romulan movement in the area. They were none, not surprisingly. There was, most likely, cloaked fighters around to keep their side updated. But that wasn't a worry for Vlimar, nor to Shane. A fighter is nothing, and the warbird are either crippled or hours away. They lost the battle, but they will come back for the war.

Vlimar head the helm scream that they were one minute from Landing. Vlimar nodded to that information and grabbed Assault Rifle, as he assumed he will protect his leader when he goes on the ground, to look for wife and kids. He then looked at Shane, waiting for the word.
