It wasn't a large office but at least it wasn't as plain as the one that had temporarily been assigned to that one commander. The walls were a light shade of green and the picture of a unicorn that hung on the one wall was mystical as well as beautiful. The other wall held a small view port. A love seat sized couch sat against the wall under the unicorn picture and a chair with stand was over by the view port. Fortunately the chair on the other side of her desk, slide easily over to join the other by the view port. Her desk was sort of cradled in one of the corners from the door.
She looked at the padd where she had placed her notes on Lt. Ignasious Bluethistle. He held a tactical position, but Nym wasn't so sure about him returning to work. Sure he had recovered form is injuries which consisted of a broken leg and burns on 30% of his body, but Iggy had yet to pass a psychological evaluation. She reread her notes even though she didn't need to.
Subject: Lieutenant Ignasious Bluethistle
Status: Unfit for Duty
Lt. Bluethistle has made great physical recoveries. However, he jumps at ordinary sounds and still insists that Romulans riding black steeds come to him at night through the smoke. Medications that may have been attributing to his delusions have been discontinued but still he insists that "they come for him". He isn't exactly specific about who comes for him but insists that the black steed riding Romulans are only their centuries. Through observations noted on his charts by other and 6 hours of my own, the lieutenant does have periods were he is very lucid and in the present, but there are gaps in his recent memories that he himself explains away by saying "they were probing me then".
It is my opinion that it would not only be dangerous for Mr. Bluethistle to return to duty for himself but for everyone concerned. Continued drug tests should be given to monitor the use of self medication. Furthermore, to continue to allow Ignasious Bluethistle to walk around left to his own devices is practically asking for some kind of a disaster.
Mnemosyme signed the report, added her notes and required write ups and sent it to Dr. Jacobs a day before it was due.
