"... but, it was an hour, at least, before she came back with it...", Ensign Jackson said. "But, believe, it was worth the wait...", he added, smiling, proudly.
Specialist Yu, his listener, looked at him in amazement. Jackson managed to seduce one of the most seductive female Ensign on the station. He was shaking his head, thinking about how many times he attempted approaching her. At the same time, Yu was glad for Jackson, a long time friend of his.
Moment later, a slight beep broke the steady noise of Operations worker chatting and laughing. Yu turned his head slightly, then looked back at Jackson. Jackson glanced over and then pushed Yu aside, accessing the console.
Yu looked back at the screen and his eyebrow frowned. It was coming from Sensor from Outpost 0071. It was one of the cloaked sensor in that sector. The regular maintenance diagnostic came back outside normal parameters. However, the actually sensor was functionning normally. Yu looked at Jackson, then back at the screen.
Jackson looked at Yu, then asked: "Who's the Deck Supervisor?".
Yu looked around, and saw that Vlimar was in his office, as he was seeing his attaché sitting at the console. "I guess it's the Colonel...", he answered.
Jackson nodded and transferred he data onto his PADD, turned around and walked towards Vlimar's office. He rang the chime and the door almost immediately open.
== LtCol PontBrillant's office, Operations Command Deck ==
Vlimar was reviewing the ship positions within the parameter. He was managing the actual possible response in case of an invasion or another attack. He turned around to the sound of the opening door. Vlimar did not activate the chime, when he is in the office, unless he's handling something of greater importance. So, the chime was actually opening the door. Vlimar walked to Jackson, as he saw his silhouette in the door.
"Ensign Jackson! Please, come in!", Vlimar invited, waving at a leather chair, near a fireplace. "What can I do for you?", he asked.
Jackson was surprised by the warmt welcome by his superior. After all, Vlimar was a Lieutenant-Colonel and, further more, the Second in Command of the entire base. Jackson sat down and looked at Vlimar.
"Sir, we had an awkward reading from Outpost 0071. No idea what it is, but the actual outpost works well and it's cloaked.", Jackson briefed Vlimar, as he handed the PADD.
Vlimar listned to Jackson, nodding, as he reached to get the PADD. Vlimar secured the PADD in his hand, still listening to Jackson's briefing. As Jackson finished his sentence, Vlimar looked through the datas,
"You are right, it's not a signal from the primary systems. It's coming from the secondary transmitting relay. Thank you Jackson", Vlimar answered as he stood up, dismissing the Ensign.

As Jackson left the office, Vlimar put the PADD on his desk. He connected his PADD to his personal console and unloaked the access to the transmitting relay. Vlimar noticed a rather primitive transmission, which wasn't usual from Protocolled StarFleet Communications.
Vlimar isolated the message and showed it at his screen. "Nos es proventus. Cras succurro statim!". Vlimar immediately knew it was Latin, a ancien deceased language from Earth. He read it over, and realized it's meaning.
"Computer, Locate nearby vessel.", Vlimar ordered.

"Let's hope they can assist us...", Vlimar told himself.

Vlimar grabbed the PADD back from his desk and stormed out the Operations Deck, up to the Commander's quarters.
