Gustav had been out of the sickbay for a few of days now after getting a new arm fitted to replace the one that was accidentally ripped off in the hanger bay, now he was busy writing a report to Lt Cmdr Scardona about what he could remember about the incident he also used computer logs that automatically take note of when someone diverts, shuts down, bypasses or anything else with power systems they also note spikes or drains on power resources.
The report read: -
To: Lt Commander Curtis Scardona CEO
From: Lt JG Gustav Kroitzer DCEO
Subject: Accident Report For Gustav Kroitzer
On the day of SD: 240901.02 I was involved in a severe accident in hanger bay 1 were I was severely injured by having my right arm and portions of my shoulder permanently severed (see Medical department for full details on injuries incurred).
On the day in question I was busy organising the engineering teams in Hanger bay one in preparation of a full systems test on all launchers when I was informed that there was a problem with launcher 4's warp power contribution junction, I had decided to sort the problem myself as the junction's was a custom design that I had designed.
Before starting the work I had diverted power away from the launcher to make it safe (this is confirmed in the computer logs), the power was not shut off though as it would have taken 36 hours to safely charge the capacitors for the Electromagnets this is also within Starfleet guidelines.
I had just diagnosed the problem when my tricorder informed me of a major power build up (the build up is also logged in the computer logs) that according to the tricorder that was later recovered was large enough to jump circuit and trigger the launcher resulting in the accident.
End Of Report
Gustav had just hit send when his watch alarm went off {I'm surprised that this survived} informing him that he was due at a rehabilitation session to help him work on his control of the new limb, currently he was able to use it to puck up larger objects like cups but his fine motor control was still lacking although he was told in just a few days he was able to control the arm to a much higher degree than some that had the same prosthetic for weeks.
