Jade walked out of the Security HQ's learning that the
CSec was still in sickbay {man this isn't probably the way
the CO wanted to see the first mission to start out} Jade
thought to herself. She walked into the turbolift,
"sickbay." She said as the doors whisked closed few
minutes later the doors opened up to the corridor that led
to sickbay. As she got to the sickbay doors they whisked
open Jade always hated infirmaries mainly because she lost
someone close to her while she was in the SFMC. Walking
further into sickbay looked around looking for
anyone to direct him to where the CSec was.
Rangi had been discussing staff rotas with the senior nurse
on duty and having finished her conversation,
noticed the newcomer hesitating just inside the entrance.
" May I help you?" she asked approaching the young woman.
"Actually I'm looking for Lt Jardan." Jade said hoping
that he would be able to see him and he wasn't sleeping or
anything like that.
" Ah..well..I'm sure he will appreciate a visitor." Rangi
replied." Now he's feeling well, the time passes slowly
and I'm sure he'll be glad to see a new face.... He's
along here." She smiled and indicated the direction.
Following the doctor back to where Jardan was before going
in Jade wanted to ask one question, "how is he doing?"
Jade asked not actually knowing the man, but she knows how
difficult these jobs can be.
" He's made a good recovery and is almost well enough to
resume duty. " Rangi replied.
They walked the length of a corridor and coming to the
last door on the left, Rangi said " He's in here." knocked
and went inside. " A visitor for you." she said smiling at
the patient.
"Greetings Lt sorry that we've meet like this, but wanted
you to see the program for the security teams that are
transporting over to the outpost." Jade said handing over
the PADD to the CSec.
Tommy looked up at the voice and momentarily was confused
before he realized who she was. "Greetings to you to. You
must be Jade.... sorry," He reached up and took the padd,"
I have seemed to forgotten your last name, I think? So
tell me what you need from me to see."
Tommy looked at the PADD and nodded." Ok. what's your take
before I give you my imput?"
Rangi took little notice if the developing conversation,
concentrating instead on Jardans medical notes. She read
through the last few entries.
Tommy did not wait for Jade to reply." Seriously because it
looks
like there been some mistakes.
First of all, I planned for there to be teams of four, and
your plan
seems to only beaming two on the run.
Second, who authorized the changes?"
"I received a memo about that, so I made the changes." Jade
said not
backing down she was just following orders like a good
solider. "I'm
sorry that you had to find out this way, but it won't take
long to fix
it to make sure a team of four can get transported over just
fine."
Jade added.
Rangi laid the medpadd aside, looking from Jardan to Jade
and back again.
Perhaps it was the long confinement in sickbay that caused
the Chief to
sound rather curt with his questions.
"Excuse me butting in...." she said "..but perhaps this
isn't the best place to discuss
the issue.Lieutenant, I'm passing you fit for minimal
duties. Perhaps you would like
to make arrangements for a meeting in your office later
today?"
Her tone, though polite, indicated that they might like to
continue their conversation
elsewhere.
Jade nodded, "I agree. I'll contact you once you get back to
your
office and deal with things that you need to deal with."
Jade said.
"Thankyou." Rangi said with a quick glance to jardan but
before he
could say anything more, she was directing Jade towards the
door.
There was no chance that a heated discussion was going to
errupt
in sickbay if she could possibly prevent it.
