OOC: Resending with the correct Stardate this time...

"Come in please." Rangi called and waited for the newcomer
to enter her office. Rangi was seated at her desk, her arms
resting on the surface, fingers intertwined.
Giella entered the office of the 1st Task Force Medical
Advisor, curious as to why she'd been summoned. She'd never
met Rangi Summers before, but had thoroughly studied her
history, from the death of her father and his work as a
weapons designer to her service as XO on the USS Chimera and
her work as the foremost medical expert in the 1st Task
Force.
She spotted two other people in the outer room, non-coms,
who looked towards the door as she entered and she wondered
why they were present as well. Normally she made it her
business to try and know why she was being called for a
meeting before it even happened, but this one was a little
quick on her.
" Major...please..take a seat." Rangi said as Giella entered
the room and crossed to the empty chair opposite Rangis.
"Thank you," Giella said as she sat down. "May I ask what
this is about?"
" Yes ofcourse." Rangi replied. " It's about Diophelytine. I
understand that you might have need of it occasionally."
"Yes..." Giella replied, thinking about it for a moment.
"But I haven't needed to use it for a long time."
" Why is that?" Rangi asked, sounding interested and not
demanding.
Giella smiled. "I have a weakness for heling fruit," she
admitted. "It keeps the chameleon in me at bay, otherwise I
would have been as green as this chair by now."
Heling fruit was an acquired taste, but it worked just as
well as diophelytine. Tollauran aristocracy made use of the
drug as it was considered quite common for someone of noble birth to
change skin colour at random.
" So you have a regular supply of this fruit?" Rangi asked.
"I do, yes," Giella replied, not going into detail that she
had a small heling tree in a pot in her quarters.
"You're wondering at the sudden interest I expect." Rangi
smiled. " We have a standard supply of Diophelytine but
find it has diminished."
"Diminished?" Giella frowned as it sounded rather
suspicious.
"Yes.." Rangi said rather slowly. " There is there's less
than there was." It was plain to see that Giella's interest had been sparked.
"Do you have any idea who might have taken the medication?"
she asked.
"Not yet, that's why I wondered if you had needed some and
it hadnt been recorded correctly."
"No, I haven't," Giella shook her head. "If you can't find
an answer from your staff, the best would to speak to the Chief of
Security, or even Promenade Security, though I doubt it would be
civilian-related since they don't have access to the Task Force areas."
"Indeed." Rangi said, hiding her amusement at the flow of
eager suggestions. "That's exactly what I'll do when if I can't track down the
patient. Thankyou Major, I appreciate you making time to see
me so promptly. Please,on your way out, would you ask Petty
Officer H'ar'ta Juvpha to come in?"
"Of course," Giella smiled as she stood up. "Good luck with the investigation,
Commander."
