[Personal Quarters, USS Chimera]
After being released from sickbay Jade went straight to her quarters she was still exhausted from dealing with the radiation poisoning from the nebula because of of being half human and half El-Aurian the radiation effected her differently. Luckily the rash was gone but she was still dealing with the side effects of the drugs and the radiation. "Captain sorry to bother you but would it be OK if I stopped by?" Vaughn said trying to micromanage stuff.
Sighing Jade knew that Ops was in good hands with Vaughn but he for most of his career he's been AOps or Deputy COps and hasn't had the opportunity to run his own department. "Sure Vaughn." Jade said sounding tried but knew that Vaughn wouldn't ask if it wasn't important.
"Alright on my way." Vaughn said then cutting the COMM and walking out of the ODCC and to the nearest turbolift with a PADD with what was going on in Cargo Bay 1 with the bio material. Vaughn's real reason for stopping by was to see how the MCapt was doing. Couple of minuets later Vaughn was in front of Jade's quarters he hit the chime and waited to be invited in.
Jade heard the chime but she didn't get up off of the couch that she was laying on, "come in." Jade shouted while still laying on the couch reading over some reports that Vargas had sent up.
The door slid open and Vaughn stepped into Jade's quarters, "ma'am?" Vaughn said not realizing that Jade was laying down on the couch.
"In here Vaughn." Jade said raising her arm up to show that she was on the couch she slowly sat up so it would be a more formal meeting. "How are things in the ODCC today?" Jade asked as Vaughn took a seat in one of the chairs.
"Good." Vaughn said sliding some PADDs over to her, "these are from the last day shift the night shifts reports are being compiled right now." Vaughn said looking at his chief, "I also wanted to come down and see how you're doing?" Vaughn said knowing how she is after serving under her on the USS Quassar.
"I'm fine I just need some time off to recover." Jade said picking up the PADDs and quickly skimming them and smiling, "I see that you've become more comfortable with running the department." Jade said.
Returning the smile, "I'm getting used to it." Vaughn said glad to continue serving under her in the Ops department, "well I'll let you rest some more and also we're heading back to UNITY." Vaughn said glad to be getting away from this nebula it was an Ops nightmare as it was probably the same with all the other departments.
"Alright I should be back to duty by then." Jade said smiling and standing up to walk Vaughn to the door. With that Vaughn headed back to the ridge to take his post while Jade headed back to the couch to get take a little nap and then throughly read the reports.
