[Bridge - Deck One - USS Chimera NCC 96899-C]
"Hello Chimera, care if we join you?", Moïra said, smiling.
"Welcome to the fray, D'Artagan." Rojac said with a grin of his own on
his face. "Formation Tango-Three. Target warbird three's singularity
drive while we take out their engines. Copy?"
"Copy!", she replied. Moïra nodded at her Tactical officer that didn't
ask for anything, but received all the answers he wanted. The USS
D'Artagnan managed to "injure" the bird rapidely, due to the superior
firepower of a Souverein Class starship. The D'Artagnan repositionned
itself, to allow the Chimera to have a better shot at the Warbird,
while it sent multiple phasers blasts onto the bird's singularity
drive.
Lieutenant Rayna pulled up on the Chimera's bow, opening the ventral
phasers up for a clear shot on the tail of warbird three. Bolts of
electricity sparked across the hull of the craft as their aft shields
dropped down to critical levels, opening up the path for Xerxes'
Lancers and the Sovereign class D'Artagan's readied torpedo bays.
Anya gave a stark warning to the new arrival "Shoot down one of my
fighters and not even a god will be able to save you D'Artagnan."
"Captain!" The Efrosian science chief, Ra-Zerphimi, shouted from the
science station. "Warbird four is charging disruptors and targetting
the outpost!"
"Break pursuit!" Rojac shouted to the helm. "Howard, take our shields down!"
Natalia advised against taking the shields down but it didn't seem to sway the Captain.
"Noted Commander, but I'm not letting my people die." Rojac glowered.
"Xerxes cover us. Reese emergency transport! I want every life-sign
aboard that station in transporter room 1!"
"Three Flight Break off. Point defense on the Chimera now!" Anya called.
Michael checked the sensors, "Captain, the outpost is leaking plasma.
She'll be in pieces in a minute."
"Now Reese!" Rojac shouted.
The Chimera shuttered as disruptor fire rocked her bare hull. Lt Rayna
banked hard to starboard to avoid the coming onslaught as the
D'Artagan and Xerxes' squadron broke in to provide cover.

men back." Jade said she then waited and monitored the bio scans that
she was picking up from the station seconds later those same bio scans
showed up in the Chimera's transporter room. "Sir all of the security
personnel are accounted for." Jade said looking up from her console
glad that her fair safe program worked.
The XO ordered some security teams to the transporter room to
contain any situation.
Anya fired a verteron missile into the starboard main impulse engine
turning it from a funtioning component of the warbird into a heap of
burning slag. "Two flight confirms the destruction of main port
impulse engines." Came the voice of her XO through the comms unit.
"Ghost Flight begin bombing run on Warbird Three. All Lancers clear
the area, the fireworks are inbound." Anya ordered. The four
bombers of Ghost flight decloaked and flew in formation towards the
crippled Warbird with their drop bays open. They each dropped a
single Verteron Torpedo and the speed at which they flew towards the
target seemed so slow but when they impacted they created a massive
explosion and shockwave which moved outwards with terrifying speed
outwards only just avoiding the bombers who jumped to warp before
being hit.
"Shields up!" Rojac ordered. "Weapons free on warbird four!"
Michael targeted warbird four with the phaser arrays and fired. The
port shields went offline and he targeted the warbird's engines with a
torpedo volley, but as he fired the ship veered up and one of the
torpedos hit the port nacelle. Michael blanched as a chain reaction
started to ripple across the nacelle, then down into the body of the
ship. Finally, soundlessly, the ship's warp core exploded and a
shockwave rippled out from the remains of the warbird.
Rojac watched the explosion in stoic contemplation. Though the enemy
had been vanquished, the outpost had fallen. And now the Romulans knew
with almost certainty about the hidden sensor network along the
border. In the silence, he turned around t walk back toward his chair,
issuing orders along the way.
"Lt Rayna, patrol the perimeter at quarter impulse. Ra-Zerphimi, I
need a standard scan of the debris before we scuttle it all." THe two
officers nodded in acknowledgement. "Natalia, get down to Transporter
Room One. I want all Romulans held prisoner in the Brig, and all
Starfleet Outpost personnel debriefed. Tell Master Chief Johnson I
want a report on my desk in two hours."
Natalia replied "Aye Sir"
"Bridge to Lancer One." Rojac called out.
"Lancer One here, go ahead." Anya answered
"Clearance granted for docking. If your satisfied the coast is clear,
Captain." Rojac stated over the audio line.
"Sun God's got nothing on scanners, we're pretty close to Winchester
and I'd hate to be tardy to the party. Ghost Flight, Sun God and
Lancer Squadron are RTB." Anya replied pleased that her unit had made
it out their first fight without a fatality.
"Howard, open a channel to the D'Artagnan." Rojac ordered.
The tactical officer nodded.
"D'Artagnan here"
"Thank you again, Captain Henry." Rojac replied. "We will depart for
UNITY after our investigation for prisoner transfer. Would you like me
to petition TF Command for reinforcements?"
"I think minor reinforcements would do Captain Rojac. I don't think
the Romulans will try here again soon but can't be too prepared."
"Consider it done, and thanks again. We'll have to do it again
sometime." Rojac nodded with a slight grin.
"Likewise Chimera, till the next time."
Rojac looked rather tired, and he felt it too. He knew, however, that
his day was far from done. He would have mounds of paperwork to pour
over and plenty of reports to write. He just wanted a few minuets
alone wit a cup of coffee before he started his rounds.
"Lieutenant Reese, you have the bridge." He said, standing up from his
chair. "I'll be in my Ready Room."
and down to where the CO and XO chairs where and an Assistant
Operation Officer took her place. As she took a seat in the Captains
chair she felt weird, but also good in something to aim for.
