=/-\= UNITY STATION =/-\=

Cortez hadn't been on the station for very long, he hadn't spent much
time at Unity Station since he was reassigned from the Chimera but he
still knew better than most that it wasn't exactly the party central
capital of the federation. Plus, if you did find yourself a bit of
enjoyment it was always likely that things would spiral out of
control, and this place wasn't exactly the most lenient place for
conduct not befitting an officer.

Walking the promenade there really wasn't much going on. Security was
so tight here that any unsavory characters wouldn't have a chance on
the station, that wasn't to say that there weren't a few unsavory
characters about the place, they were just affiliated with the Forces
in one way or another. Stepping past a large window he stared at his
new home, at least for a little while. The USS Chimera was different
from the last time he'd seen it, Guzman must of gone and blown up the
last one, he chuckled to himself. This was actually the last place he
ever expected to be again, but with the war going on and the ship in
need of a new Security Chief with 'experience' he was quietly
volunteered. In the end it didn't matter what Cortez wanted, he had
his orders and he would follow them, just like he always had.

Minutes later Cortez found his way to the Chimera and after having his
personal effects beamed aboard decided that he'd get started early.

"Seems bigger", he thought to himself as he stepped into his office,
his deputy trailing behind.

"First order of business", Richard said turning to Lt. Castillo, "I
need you to recall all security staff back to the ship, anyone not
reporting back in 60 minutes gets transferred to Unity".

Charly stood a few feet from the door not sure exactly what to make of
his new CO. "They wont like that sir", he began, "They still have
another 24 hours".

"SECOND", The Majors voice boomed louder, "I want Red Alert level
security training exersizes ran with all security personnel not on
duty every four hours, starting in two hours"

The Lieutenant for once remained silent.

Cortez stepped back and sat down in the chair behind his desk. "And
third", he began in a lower voice, "I want you to get me all the ships
personal and security logs from the last 48 hours, I need to know
what's going on on this ship". He paused for a moment and looked back
up at Castillo. "Thats all, your dismissed".

Charly nodded, saluted and quickly left the office.

The Major had just decided to lean back in his chair for a minute when
he noticed a report sitting on top of a pile of reports on his desk.
It detailed the arrest of two of Chimeras officers. "Fighting!",
Cortez mumbled to himself and shook his head. "Fighting and
dishonoring the Forces he expected from fleet, but not from a Marine
Major and commander of the ships fighter wing at that.

Sitting back up his attention was quickly drawn to the time, he had an
appointment with the Captain whom he hadn't seen in some time. In
fact, the last time he'd seen Captain Rojac he was just a Lieutenant.
"This ought to be interesting", he mumbled to himself.
