Wow. I thought 45 logs was a good week. You guys TROUNCED it. Awesome week. RECORD week. Give yourselfs a six hour pat on the back. :)
We got a lot done this week. This Chimera is ready for shipping, but we couldn't exactly afford next day delivery. It will be here before Christmas though, so no worries there.
We all wish Commander Rick Rodgers a happy farewell, and hope that his RL situation will improve soon. Rick, your an awesome simmer and person. You will be sorely missed. We hope you are able to return soon.

Greetings everyone!
Wow, what a week! We've certainly pushed up the bar even higher,
congratulations everyone, someone wonderful logs that have gone over
the list. We're getting closer to bringing the new Chimera to Unity,
so that should happen soon and those of us who will stay on the
Chimera will have a new home again :)

We've had to say goodbye to Commander Rick Rodgers due to RL and we
wish him the best for his future and hope that he will return to us
someday. He's been a part of this sim for many years and has always
produced highly quality, entertaining logs that have greatly helped to
enrich our little universe. Godspeed, Commander!

Survivors from the battle and crew of the Starbase met on
the Operations deck. Shane took command of the Starbase and
carried out a promotions ceremony.
Vlimar was pleased to be given the post of Deputy Commander
but had some sad thoughts about losing his young daughter.
Cropa found it hard going to remove the encrusted mushroom
pie from his beard. He was informed that a new Chimera would
be ready in two weeks time and called Gustav and Reese with
orders to journey to Bragg where they would meet Bren
Ohmsford. That done, Cropa wondered about buying waterside
land on Aeran III.
Rick held a meeting with Gustav and Tobuk to explain secret
plans for the new sensor network, some of which would be
cloaked, so enabling a watch to be kept on Romulan activity.
Another meeting saw Tom Jardan promote a couple from his
team as well as outlining there immediate course for work.
Athena helped Terek with security difficulties and explained
about the loss of Chimera.Terek learned that Alex had died
and Athena suggested they go for a drink.
Rangi met the Starbase Chief Counsellor for the first time
and was confused by his methods of evaluation.
Athena and Anya took a trip to go shopping on Charos
III...which included wedding dresses.Lernen was waiting for
them on their return, not pleased by their unauthorised
spree. Athena arranged a counselling appointment with him
later.
Trent returned to Earth and Rick told Maikai about being
offered the jobs of TF engineering advisor as well as the
CEO position on the Starbase. Maikai told him to accept them
as it meant keeping their family together.
Jade and Gustav met Bren and were pleased to get their hands
on the new Chimera at last.
Admiral Janeway reviewed Shanes part in the battle and
authorised his reinstatement as T1st TF CO , also authorised
the go ahead for taking SB 234 as the new HQ for the Task
Force and awarded Shane the Archon Award with Solare Flare
for his negotiations with the Erassian Alliance.
Rangi met Terek and was able to give him more details of
Alex' death.
Vlimar spoke to 'Pointy Ears' and learned some interesting
news which he relayed to Shane in an encrypted message.
Commodore Guzman returned to the Starbase and whilst waiting
for a meeting to begin, thought over the past six months
which had entangled him in diplomatic matters, culminating
in the signing of the Mutual Defence Treaty. During the
meeting, Vlimar, Terek, Chisulo Lernan and Rangi gave
reports from their respective departments. Afterwards,Shane
outlined the three priorities, security, tactical and
resources, announced some new appointments but said he
needed time to learn more about some situations, having only
recently returned to the base.
T'vel completed a medical exam of Scott Fisher and passed
him fit for light duty depending on a counselling report.
They were briefly interrupted by T'Vels son and T'vel told
Scott about the death of her mate.
Rick was kidnapped on his way to his quarters and found
himself the captive of two persons who appeared to be
StarFleet personnel but who were in fact Nenons.Hoack held a
grudge which he intended to act upon and explained that
Rick, an innocent victim, would be used to cause torment to
Trent.He intended to wipe all memories that Rick held and
proceeded to do so, reducing the CEO's mental age to that of
a baby.With his work completed, Hoack and his assistant made
their escape.Later, Verek located the shuttle but found it
empty.
Rojac told Gustav that his work on the sensor network would
be handed to Tobuk whilst Gustav would meet Ohmsford aboard
the new Chimera.He promoted Gustav to rank of acting
Lieutenant. Gustav hurried home to the quarters he now
shared with Mimi and told her the news. They went out to
celebrate, spending the evening dancing, then walking in the
arboretum. Gustav gave her a necklace as a parting gift.
Tobuk updated Rojac on the current state of engineering and
later Rojac discussed security with Tom.
Gustav introduced himself to the assembled engineering crew
of Chimera-C before allocating work for groups of them to
do. He set to work himself.

out a few conditions before she accepted the post.
Scott told Rangi he felt it was time for a change and had in

She was appalled and told him she would do all possible to

Commodore detailing her findings and recommending that Rick
be sent to a rehabilitaion facility.
It was all work and no play for Gustav and his team, working
long hours on the new chimera. Finally they were able to
report to Bren that all was going well.
On StarBase 19,Platoon Sergeant David Hackworth visited one
of his colleagues in the sickbay where she was on life
support. In the hope that she could hear and understand him,
he told her stories and jokes but she made no responce.
In guest quarters on the StarBase, Rowl and Dadick waited
nervously for the arrival of a High Priestess.They supplied
her with the information she had required and were paid for
doing so.
Trent arrived to travel back to Earth with his brother Rick.
Maikai had decided to stay but Trent assured her he would
care for her if the need arose and promised to exact revenge
on the men who had done this to Rick.
Meanwhile, Master at Arms Heath Johnson, had been viewing a
recording of the attack from a secret camera and by lip
reading, had names to go on.
Aboard the USS Rapier, Pazla and Natalia oversaw the
deployment of 160 covert SF outposts in the neutral zone
and headed for home when the mission was completed.
Gustav proudly reported to Bren that all his teams had
completed their work ahead of schedule.They planned to test
the new ship within hours.Bren reported the good news to
Rojac when the captain called to enquire about 'his' ship
and told him it would be delivered in a week.
Rangi told Martin one of his favourite bedtime stories
after explaining a little about Ricks departure and the
seriousness of wars.
Next day, Rangi asked T'Vel if she would consider taking a
Deputy CMO position on the SB which would allow Rangi to
keep 'hands on' experience as well as deal with her Med.

the brand new Chimera Class USS Chimera NX 96899-B was launched, but
SSF ships seemed to have a high turnover rate, especially ones with
the name Chimera.

The weekly logging deadline is at Midnight (12:00AM/00:00) GMT/UTC (19:00 EST); all logs received after the deadline will be counted for the following week. If you are pressed for time and would like a log to count for the previous week, but it is sent after the deadline, please send an email to the command team when you send the log so that we can make the corrections.
Please remember that all MAJOR plot changes need to be cleared with the command staff before a log goes through! You can do this by sending the command staff (chimera-command@ucip.org ) a log labeled with "Draft" tagged to the subject line. We'll typically let you know if it's approved within 24 to 48 hours, or tell you what might need to be modified before it's sent to the listserv.
When using other characters in your logs, please keep in mind that person's characteristics. Character information can be found on the UCIP website or the USS Chimera website (under CREW - just click on the Star Trek symbol next to the character's name). If you're still unsure how to interact with a character, then privately mail the person
involved, and I'm sure they'll be willing to help.
