Gustav had been on the bridge when Bren ordered the warp flight test,
this was the moment that he had been waiting for, to see if the
modifications he and the other engineers installed would work as well
as he had hoped.

In preparation for the test Gustav had displayed all the relevant info
on the screens in front of him, they consisted of warp field stats,
antimatter\matter reaction stats, and power output levels, he also
decided to keep an open comm. Link to Vah'toth and Guilder so he could
inform them instantly if anything wasn't working right.

Within about 20 minutes after the order for the test flight was given
the Chimera – C was underway, once the ship was a safe certain
distance from the shipyards the order was given to go to warp 3 then
slowly bring her up to maximum warp.

The ship was now at warp 7.6 and Gustav was busy looking at the
screens in front of him when he noticed that the warp field was
becoming unstable, he immediately got in touch with Guilder over the
open comm. link "Kroitzer to Guilder"

"Guilder here" she responded

"I'm showing instability in the warp field, I need you to find out
what's causing it and sort it on the fly" Gustav ordered.

"Aye sir" was Guilders only reply

He was still watching the fluctuations in the warp field when they
stopped and a message from Guilder popped up on the screen, which
read.

Lt Kroitzer,
The warp field fluctuations have been sorted, the subroutines I
had installed only needed calibrated to the output of the warp core,
and you shouldn't see any more problems from now on.

After Gustav read the message he went back to monitoring the readouts,
he was quite pleased with the antimatter\ matter reaction, it was
performing exactly like it did during the simulations giving an
improved efficiency of about 8% he also noted that after the
calibrations had been performed on the new subroutines that the
efficiency had risen in the dilithium matrix had increased as well
although not as much as previously thought at about a 5% increase,
making the whole system around 13% more efficient.

When maximum warp was achieved Bren gave the order to return to the
shipyards for final checks before delivery to Captain Rojac and to
drop off all none essential personnel, Gustav gave a huge sigh of
relief that the engines performed as well as they did and that he
would be returning to UNITY soon.

Jade stepped off the turbolift out onto deck 18 which housed some
junior officer quarters, a transporter room, cargo bays and the ships
secondary support systems which will be worked on first and multiple
diagnostics ran on the system. All of the engineers that Jade asked
for the also the operation personnel also were in cargo bay 5 waiting
for there an officer to give them orders they all knew what there jobs
were, but everyone liked to things differently.

Walking into the cargo bay Jade set down her case with all the
equipment that she would need and then she glance at her tablet,
"alright I'm going to be putting up a list which will have all of your
names in groups under a group leader it'll be also listing what area
you'll be working in. Each group will have two ops personnel there job
will be to run a diagnostic after the relays are operational they'll
also offer any help that might be needed." Jade said tapping at her
tablet transferring the list to a monitor on the wall, so it would be
easier for everyone to get a look at the list, "any questions?" Jade
asked as she stepped away from the monitor.

"No ma'am" Some of them said while some of the others just shook their
head no, "alright I'm going to be working out of the Operations
Department Control Center monitoring things from there." Jade said as
everyone was forming into their groups, "alright everyone let's get to
work." Jade said heading to the Operations Department Control Center.

***Starbase Unity Security Offices***   "...And when I told Commander Trent Rodgers the information, he thanked me and explained the situation. he then told me that he would take it from there. " Johnson was just now finishing his report to Tommy and was clearly agitated. ' Sir, I would like to see this through. It would be a disregard for duty if i do not catch this..Hoark." Tommy considered, then shook his head." It's clear that there is a history here. If the Commander gave you an order stating that your job is done, then there is nothing I can do to change that. Besides, I need you to start the training schedule for the new team. I'm sorry." Johnson looked as if he was going to argue, then came to attention and walked away.   Tommy thought to himself { not much I can do to reassure him. The communication I just recieved is classified. I wish I could share it with him....} Just then, Petty Officer 1st Class Timothy Walker entered the office. He walked over to the desk and said, " You wished to see me, sir? Tommy nodded, " yes I did. I was just going over your file again and was curious. Why do you have a displinary report of derelition of duty? " " Sir, i left my post in the middle of a crisis. However, it was not for lack of courage. A crewmate was injured severly. I picked him up and took him to sickbay. The captain was not happy. He believed that his needs came first." Tommy said, " The captain was right. the ship should have been your first priority. What was your position?" Walker replied, " Captain's bodyguard." { What the hell is that?} Aloud, Tommy replied, " I see... not really. I have never heard of a 'Captain's bodyguard'. Exactly what were you to do? Why was there a need for a bodyguard?" Walker shifted nervously, " He was..unpopular. A lot of crew got killed unecessarily under his command, Sir."   Tommy sat back top consider what he heard. {Ok, this needs to go to the captain.] Tommy dismissed Walker, who left. He tapped his badge and said + Jardan to Rojac. I am sending a report to your desk concerning a situation I just heard about. It has raised some doubts about the displinary record concerning Petty Officer 1st Class timothy walker. I will await your reply at your conveniance. Captain Rojac of the Chimera had asked Mnemesyme to take a look at an isolinear rod and report her impressions back to him.  She sat in the small plain room watching the horrific actions like a silent movie.  She watched it several times taking notes each time.  During the final viewing, she couldn't help but let a couple of tears roll down her face.  She quickly wiped them away and on a padd created the report for the captain. 

 

Nym set the encryption that the captain had ask that she used and began her report.

The man inflicting the torture is the lead.  The guy in charge; the other his second, a subordinate.  The lead is meticulous and confident.  His posturing suggests that he not only enjoys what he is doing but that he is taunting someone who they believe will be viewing the rod.  On some level for the lead the actions being taken are personal.  The actions of the subordinate are routine for him, following orders, and seems to be nothing out of the norm .... for them.  They both show great patience and calm... they were comfortable and knew they would have time.

 

As requested to protect others that I may come in contact with I did not listen.  Inflection and tone of voice may only offer slightly more information.  Both perpetrators should be considered dangerous.... torture is sure to be proceeded by any death they might deem necessary.

 

 

 

Nym left the secured area with the padd and rod in hand.  She delivered them herself, but said nothing as she handed the information over to the captain.
