Mimi was sitting at the desk and although she hadn't been cleared to work she was trying to keep up by reading through the reports. {Why are there so many of these reports ... and things that Athena would normal be on top of despite her lackadaisical ways.} Mimi sighed as she closed another request for a counseling session and checked the time. She had been checking in on work when Gustav was away. {He'd never let me get away with this.} She could practically hear him saying {"you're supposed to be resting!"}
She looked at the screen {I still have time yet} and yawned. {Maybe a nap would be good.} She turn off the desk console and turned to get up wincing a bit at the quick movement. {For something you don't need an appendix sure can cause a lot of trouble.} She repeated what the doctor had told her as she slowly made her way back to the bedroom, "It will take about 5 day before the muscle tissue is back to normal... maybe less if you don't over do."
Mimi laid down wrapped in a warm fleece blanket and shortly fell asleep.

Mimi smiled in her sleep and then sat up suddenly. She winced and waited for hear heart rate to slow. {Something isn't right...} Her brow furrowed as it suddenly dawned on her that the console was beeping that a message was waiting. She felt a sense of dread with ever step she took toward the desk. {This is silly.} She closed her eyes and took a deep breath as she touched the button that would have the message appear on the screen. She swallowed hard as she read the request to go to sickbay.
