A little slow this week, but we've had several people out on business, pleasure and various other RL situations. No worries though, the plot continues to progress and should be wrapped up action wise BY THE END OF THIS WEEK. That is, however, with everyone's cooperation. So get on the ball, please.

 

Good work on attendance, there are NO unexcused absences this week. That makes me happy. Thanks.

Just a short message from me this week. Things were a little quiet this past week, so let's try and pick them up for the coming week. There were some good JL's that hit the list however as the plot is winding down.

• Medical - prepare to treat those effected on freighters by biogenic weapons. ISOLATION WARDS.
• Security - Are the freighters crews subdued?
• Fighter Wing - Wrap up operations planetside, report in on the scorpion 2.

Magellan and AWAY TEAM

• What's going on in your space battle?
• What's happening to the Rapier.

 

UNITY

• Qashqai - Make it undetected into ROmulan space.
• Detector - Set course and depart.
• Tarangor Shipyard - Honor repairs.
• Davis - wait for Chimera on UNITY. Maybe JL with someone?

LAST WEEK:

Chimera - Intercept the Romulan troop transports.

• Bridge - run the show.
• Medical - treat injured crew from previous battles
• Security - Secure the freighters (anyone want to volunteer to log these?)
• Fighter Wing - Bombing runs supporting ODA.
• AWAY TEAM - aid the Magellan crew in battle until you can return to the Rapier.

Magellan - Protect the Rapier and destro the new enemy ships.

• Qashqai - Make it undeteted into Quorom space.
• Quorum space - What is Harker up to? Where is Rangi?
• Davis - Report to UNITY for assignment.

(IXUS)

The new Chimera CSec MCapt. Channer Davis makes his way to Unity whilst having to deal with a very chatty Pilot in the form of Lt. Henry Boyd.  Chimera launches a furious attack on the approachin Romulan troop transports.  Cropa and Jade focus on the battle but Bren worries over the sinister threat that Athena senses.  1Lt. Johann Fosters and Pvt. Roquette Lecuyer board and creep through one of the fleeing Breen freighters finding more than they bargain for with the discovery of a bio-weapon warhead and a young human girl who appears very ill.

= UNITY Summary =

(Rangi)

 Shane had been introduced to the 'rotting heap' method of dealing with paperwork but his thoughts had been directed from that  when his brother Martin had asked to see him and requested to accompany Shane on board Qashqai.Shane agreed but said he would not wait.

Major Giellera Kinn had learned of a number of security breaches and asked to speak to Shane urgently. When she was told he had left Unity, she guessed what the classified mission was. She spoke to Terek and ordered him not to inform Shane when he pinpoited rangis whereabouts. Terek was not happy to disobey Shanes orders but Giella explained that if the meassage was intercepted, it could prove fatal. Terek reluctantly agreed to Giellas request.

Rangi had been locked in a cell divided in two by a force field.When a man was thrown into the other half, obviously having been illtreated for sometime, she was horrified to recognise Major Varis.He told here there were many more prisoners being held there and that he was subject to sessions on a machine that was connected to an implant in his head.
In turn, Rangi explained how his place on Unity had been taken by the Chameleoid imposter.

On board Unity, Mumacik worked out the probability of apprehending the attacker but arrested not only him but Nym and an innocent bystander as well to be on the safe side.The bystander turned out to be Commander Ariel Daveed of Starfleet Intelligence who offered his services in retrieving the information on the padd.

Logging:
The weekly logging deadline is at Midnight (12:00AM/00:00) GMT/UTC (19:00 EST); all logs received after the deadline will be counted for the following week. If you are pressed for time and would like a log to count for the previous week, but it is sent after the deadline, please send an email to the command team when you send the log so that we can make the corrections.
Please remember that all MAJOR plot changes need to be cleared with the command staff before a log goes through! You can do this by sending the command staff (chimera-command@ucip.org ) a log labeled with "Draft" tagged to the subject line. We'll typically let you know if it's approved within 24 to 48 hours, or tell you what might need to be modified before it's sent to the listserv.
When using other characters in your logs, please keep in mind that person's characteristics. Character information can be found on the UCIP website or the USS Chimera website (under CREW - just click on the Star Trek symbol next to the character's name). If you're still unsure how to interact with a character, then privately mail the person
involved, and I'm sure they'll be willing to help.
Conversely, if you feel that your character is being portrayed incorrectly by someone please contact them to try to work out an agreeable solution. Just keep in mind when logging to treat other characters the way you'd like them to treat you - with the respect due to any member of Starfleet who is a specialist in their field.
If you think your log may be going out of bounds, then please ask! If you are having problems finding things to write about or would just like some help with your log, please contact your department head or the command team. Remember, you don't always have to log about things relating to the main plot - logs that develop your character's
personality are encouraged! We're eager to help if you're having trouble; just email the command team (chimera-command@ucip.org).

New Cadets are given two (2) weeks upon joining to observe the sim. After the initial observation period, Cadets and other crew are required to post at least one log per week (unless on excused or on LOA).
Promotion is based upon quality and regularity of logging, among other
factors All promotions after Lieutenant Commander require review and
approval by Starfleet Command. For a complete breakdown of the promotion policy, please visit the Chimera's website.
