Location: Padassa Station
Time: 2100 hours, local time

Leaning against the bulkhead with the lastest situation updates being passed down from on high, Captain Ron Spiers was doing his best to ignore the growing tension spreading through Easy Company and it's soldiers. There was not much that could be done to alleviate the pressure until and unless the fighting started. Until then the men would cope as they always had. Around him his platoon leaders were were in hushed conversations with thier sergeants, attempting to prepare for whatever contingencies might soon arise. During combat was the last place an officer wanted to come up with an emergency plan.
Sergeant Major Harper entered the room and bellowed "Atteeenhut!"
The dozen or so men seated around the chamber all jumped to their feet and snapped into the position of attention, Captain Spiers included. Given the arrival of the Sergeant Major, there was only one person who could be visiting. <d>
Richard walked in, in proper military fashion, carrying a large tablet PADD under his arm. He walked into the middle of the room and looked at those assembled. "At ease gentlemen." He said.
Adjusting his stance and moving his hands into the small of his back, Spiers gave the General a stiff nod, "Thank you, sir. What can we do for you?"

"I have received orders from on high, and they require the services of my best men. Since I didn't bring them, I'm going to talk to you lot instead." He said, smirking. They knew they were the best in the Battalion, and that was all that mattered. "You're going to go secure a Romulan communications outpost on the small moon of Norris eight."

Deciding to defer to the General's rank, the Company commander ignored the baiting jibe and instead nodded again, "You've come to the right place, General. Easy's saddled up and ready, sir."
"Good." Richard said. "Your overall objective is to take the communications relay station here." He said, activating a holo-screen behind him, and after the holographic spinning planet zoomed in to a topographical map, a small section was circled in red. "There are defensive structures surrounding the outpost here, here, here, here, here and here." Richard said, and small green triangles appeared on the map."
"There are also anti-craft defenses, so air-support will be unavailable unless you knock out the plasma turrets here, here, here, here, here and here." Richard continued, and little yellow blobs appeared. "This is a secondary objective, as is securing the airstrip to the north, here." Richard said, and a long blue line appeared.
"You can expect stiff resistance, after they lost Padassa, the Romulan's are unlikely to take well to having more of their home territory taken. However, this communications outpost co-ordinates all fleet movement for eight sectors, and it is vital that it is secured if further fleet operations are to continue." Richard said. "You will be dropped from orbit using the jump suits, aiming your landings at around this RV point." Richard indicated the ora
"Intelligence on this facility is extremely good, but we only have rough numbers on the garrisons here. But you're looking at a good brigade if not a brigade and a half of crack Romulan troops, plus civilian technicians manning the comm.. relay. Any questions?"

Clearing his throat, the Company Commander replied, "Am I right in assuming that Easy is the only one going?"
"Good guess Captain." Richard said. "I can't spare any other company right now."
Doing his best to bite back any anxiousness surrounding one company going up against an entire brigade, the Captain nodded, "We'll get it done, General."
"If you knock out those cannons, the 501st can give air support." Richard said. "But that's up to you."
Spiers nodded, "If we can't secure the relay station, we'll make that our primary objective. But we'll mobalize against the station first."
Richard nodded in turn. "Well, you have your orders gentlemen." He said. "Carry on. You jump off at oh-three-hundred."

As the Major General turned to leave the room, Spiers turned at looked as his men standing around him, "You heard the General. Get to your platoons and have them ready by zero-hundred. I want full supply checks, and have everyone stock up on water rations." He turned to his First Sergeant, "Bull, you're with me."

Raising an eyebrow at his commander and friend, Randleman asked, "And where are we goin?"

"I've got some questions that I'm sure Nix can answer..."
