-=-/-\-=- Sickbay -=-/-\-=- Nanee was unsure if she was doing her job correctly. She was always known for second guessing herself except for when it came down to actually taking care of patients. She figured she must have some kind of anxiety disease as much as she worries about things. Nanee only wanted to get in contact with a higher up in person to make sure she was on track and their reports matched. Scott had returned to Chimera for he had some reports and notes to complete before he could begin R&R. He raised a hand to his forehead and pressed his fingers against it easing a headache that had been threatening him all morning. Nanee was sitting in her office going over everything. She was sure she wasn't missing anything though there were some patients who's files still needed update from recent affairs. She shook her head and sighed. SHe stood up from her desk deciding that coffee would help a ton. Scott decided he needed a break, pushed the padd away, leaned back in his chair and glanced around his office. The reports were taking longer than he expected and he's had plans. {Five minutes} he told himself, getting to his feet and checking the chrono. {I could be finished by three.} Nanee thought to herself that it be better and probably sit in her mind better if she double checked with Scott. She walked over to his office. "Ahhh...you wanted me?" he asked, exiting the room just at the moment Nanee walked towards it with a purposeful air. Nanee was a little bit started by Scott's promptness. She hoped she wasn't imposing on anything. "I- ah, well- I was hoping we could go over a few padds and make sure I have everything straight as of late. I like knowing that my reports are correct and look professional.." Nanee shifted awkwardly in the door way. Scott was about to say he was 'on his way out, needed a break and could it wait' but instead he stood to one side and gestured for her to go in. " I'm sure they do." he said, following her inside. " Take a seat." he added skirting round her and retaking the place he had recently vacated. "So..." he said scooting his chair nearer the desk." ...was there anything in particular?" "Well- uh, yes," Nanee's nervous/anxiety took over for a moment so she had to think long and hard about what one of her concerns about. She was sure she looked like a fool. "In the last report from the neurology department... I thought there may have been a piece missing," Nanee hoped she was remembering the right department. All she could do was think about how embarrassing it would be if she was wrong. She had really never been wrong before due to her need to be a perfectionist of a sort. " Let's have a look." Scott said and tapped in some commands on the terminal, accessing the neurology records and soon finding Nanees recently updated entry. He read it through, a slight frown of concentration on his face then looked at her with a friendly smile. "The SIM info needs adding." he said. " It's easy to overlook. It would help if it came as a standard report but because it doesnt, its understandable that you forgot it.." Seeing Nanees sudden appalled expression, Scott said: " Don't worry about it...it's not the end of the worlds." She didnt look too convinced of this so he added: " Take a break for a few minutes, give yourself a respite." Nanee nodded and took the report, "I guess I could do that". She normally didn't take breaks. She wasn't like her cousin, MaiKai, and could pick up where she left off after a break. She normally just kept on working through the problem until it was resolved. On the other hand, what could a break hurt. She turned to leave Scott's office. "One more thing..." Scott said and waited for her to look back at him. "Thank you." he said and smiled to her. " You've done great work and its good to know that I can rely on you." Nanee smiled shyly. That was the first compliment she's
gotten since boarding the Chimera. "Thank you, sir" and
with that Nanee decided to go to her quarters and relax
after she replaced the padd in her office. He waited until she had left then leaned back in his chair, noticing his own unfinished work looking at him accusingly. He sighed and leaned forward. He'd had a break and would now continue. He would be done by mid afternoon and then he could enjoy RandR and time, he hoped, with Mercedes.
