THIS WEEK:
CHIMERA: Begin PHASE II.
Operations: Prepare the transporter rooms and link them up with the computer program you put together. Prepare for transport on the Captain's mark.
Tactical: Howard... put together those plans Roajc asked you too, then get ready for some action on the Bridge.
Security: Prepare for deployment. Once we beam you over, it's your show.
Engineering: Get the damage control teams together. Watch the transporter systems during the delicate procedure.
Flight: Stand-by for engagement. After the transport, guns are blazing.
Medical: Good job on the rommie. Why not have him act up when he comes too?
UNITY: Go thorugh your subplots...
Klingon affair, Shipyards, etc...
LAST WEEK:
Flight Operations : Recon flight. We need some intel on the outpost and what may be surrounding it. Are we heading into an ambush?
Operations: I want you guys writing the computer program for the delicate transport procedure.
Engineering: I want you guys making the ahrdware modifactions to the transporters.
Security: Two man teams should be drilling for covert insertion and hostage rescue. Do what you can to NOT bring down the outpost's cloak, just in case the outpost's position is not known to the whole romulan fleet.
Medical: The XO wants you checking the crew's DNA for Romulan traces. Get busy, start with the away teams is my suggestion.
Science: Monitor the passive sensor for signs of Romulan activity.

Michael managed to find his way to the Bridge.
Gustav began improving his prosthetic arm much to Mimis
dismay.
Counsellors Nym and Luke continued in their attempts to help
Dennis Lapin.Later Nym discovered Dennis had been tortured.
Athena joined Natalia in the Brig to interrogate the Romulan
prisoner.Verbally he gave nothing away but Athena sensed a
link to the Breen.
Bren and Liev say goodbye as Bren prepares for his
assignment and Liev prepares to meet a Klingon delegation.
Bren had a short conversation with Chloe in which he
informed her he would be Acting Engineering Advisor and
asked to 'borrow' Rick for an assigment to which Chloe
readily agreed. Bren told Rick about the Commodores plan to
bring a shipyard to Unity and Rick was pleased at the
thought of being involved.
Athena sent her report on Terrh to Rojac stating that she
thought him capable of violence, that he might have the
means to commit suicide and that he could be of more than
one mind.
Major Giellera Kinn and Lt Commander Jaelak Sulat were
disturbed in their tryst and parted, promising to meet
again soon, even if it meant travelling to Unity to do so.
Anya had an uneasy feeling about her mission that pointed to
more than an expected Romulan ambush.
Tommy agreed that the Away Teams were ready to go even
though the the order for four man teams had been changed.
Jade discussed the need for a timing programme to transport
three security teams withing a very small time frame. Dexter
suggested sending a test object first but this was deemed un
feasible. Later, with the programme made, Jade headed for
the Bridge.
Rojac was finding the endless waiting difficult but at last
received word that the fighters were returning. He asked to
meet Anya in his Ready Room on arrival and put phase two
into motion. He also requested that Rangi run tests on the
Romulan prisoner. These were done despite Terrhs protests
and they confirmed his Romulan heritage as well as signs of
a Mind Meld.
The Klingons cleared Chisulos journey to Khitomer.
Rangi gave Gustav the 'all clear' to return to duty with
conditions that he attended physio and councelling sessions.
Rick told Maikai about his 'blackouts'
T'Vel paid a visit to Paediatrics and Maikai told him all
was running well.
Bren kept an appointment with Stephen Jacobs and was
surprised it lasted so short a time.

Michael paused at a fork in the hallway and hesitated. He hadn't been
aboard the Chimera long enough to meet the CO and he was already lost.
This ship was far larger than any other he had been on and was
incredibly confusing. It didn't help that he had a horrible sense of
direction.

She shook her head as she made her way through the living area toward
the bedroom. "Why," she asked aloud even though it was more to
herself than anyone else around. She had made it only as far as half
way to her destination when Gustav question stopped her.
"What do you expect? I'm an engineer I fix, improve and tinker with
things, the more complicated the better" he replied.
She spun around meeting his gaze, "I don't know ... its not that I
thought you wouldn't think about improvements, but... but I don't know
you couldn't have waited 3 months... used paper and pencil so to
speak.... discussed it with ... oh I don't know a doctor as well."

Logging:
The weekly logging deadline is at Midnight (12:00AM/00:00) GMT/UTC (19:00 EST); all logs received after the deadline will be counted for the following week. If you are pressed for time and would like a log to count for the previous week, but it is sent after the deadline, please send an email to the command team when you send the log so that we can make the corrections.
Please remember that all MAJOR plot changes need to be cleared with the command staff before a log goes through! You can do this by sending the command staff (
chimera-command@ucip.org ) a log labeled with "Draft" tagged to the subject line. We'll typically let you know if it's approved within 24 to 48 hours, or tell you what might need to be modified before it's sent to the listserv.
When using other characters in your logs, please keep in mind that person's characteristics. Character information can be found on the UCIP website or the USS Chimera website (under CREW - just click on the Star Trek symbol next to the character's name). If you're still unsure how to interact with a character, then privately mail the person
involved, and I'm sure they'll be willing to help.
Conversely, if you feel that your character is being portrayed incorrectly by someone please contact them to try to work out an agreeable solution. Just keep in mind when logging to treat other characters the way you'd like them to treat you - with the respect due to any member of Starfleet who is a specialist in their field.
If you think your log may be going out of bounds, then please ask! If you are having problems finding things to write about or would just like some help with your log, please contact your department head or the command team. Remember, you don't always have to log about things relating to the main plot - logs that develop your character's
personality are encouraged! We're eager to help if you're having trouble; just email the command team (

New Cadets are given two (2) weeks upon joining to observe the sim. After the initial observation period, Cadets and other crew are required to post at least one log per week (unless on excused or on LOA).
Promotion is based upon quality and regularity of logging, among other
factors All promotions after Lieutenant Commander require review and
approval by Starfleet Command. For a complete breakdown of the promotion policy, please visit the Chimera's website.
