Chimerans!

Low log count this week, but we did manage to finish the plot. I'll log our arrival back to UNITY either today or tomorrow. We'll take two weeks off, while the TF away teams set up the Chimera's next plot. Enjoy. Everyone seems to be on vacation anyway. :)

Don't forget, backlogs are always optional (just be sure to mention it a backlog). So feel free to describe our return trip to UNITY from your character's point of view. I will also be posting an awards ceremony log this week with a few promotions and awards, so keep an eye open and write about your character's reactions.

Get logging!

Chimera Summary - IXUS

Jade visits sickbay and chats to Nanee about an unsightly rash...you would think we just came back from shore leave!  Cropa reviews the mission and evaluates its outcomes and unexpected events.  Cropa debriefs the senior officers and gives them some orders for the return trip to Unity.  Cropa has a chat with Gustav and reminds him of what happened the last time they met...perhaps better results this time?  Cropa and Anya have a tense discussion over the origins of the enemy and the means that have been deployed against them.

UNITY Summary - RANGI

Lucy showed Boaz the shipyard and was surprised to learn that he was an Ambassador and was taken by surprise when he kissed her.He said he would soon be returning to Bajor and escorted her back to the restaurant. He spent time talking to an engineer then had an accident which resulted in him being transported to the infirmary. Aboard the Qashqai, Shane puzzled over an encrypted message
from Terek which he at first found taxing but then inspiration struck and he decoded the coordinates at last.
Just as he was about to order a new course he was told that a personal message had arrived and was astonished to learn that it was from Nicolas Harker.
On the Padassa station,Martin was playing computer games until Harker offered to take him to the bridge of a real starship.Rangi wass taken for interrogation and to have a device implanted into her neck but just as that was about to
be done, her captor was called away.

- Quotes of the Week (by Ixus)
-------------------------

Break Glass In Case Of Emergencies!

It wasn't until major conflicts occured years later that Starfleet overrode TI's concerns and released the ban on the potent new technology. These items were still rare and used sparingly, in an effort to prevent them from falling into enemy hands. They were considered an ace in the hole, last resorts for use in emergency only - or in instances of Federation Security. This mission was one of the instances.

Capt. Tedros 'Break Out The Big Guns' Chisulo

It's not crabs...honest

"Um.... it might be easier if I show you." Jade said, "well it's a rash of some kind, but it's spreading rapidly." Jade said hoping that they could back to curtain area, so that the doctor could get a better look at the rash.

MCapt. Jade 'Itchy' Reese

**********************************************

Even the Romulans???

I need to talk
with engineering and then I'm going back to Bajor. At least
for a while. I will be back to this station, it's nice here.
The people are nice as well, even if I was out of line.

* SUBJECT LINES/LOGGING GUIDELINES/WEBSITE NEWS/IRC INFO *
==============================================
-------------------------
- Subject Lines
-------------------------
Please remember to use the following format for your subject lines:
SD 24YYMM.DD, Duty/Personal Log, Rank Name
e.g., SD 240502.01, CO's Log, Capt Rojac
e.g., SD 240502.01, Personal Log, Cropa Rojac
The [USS Chimera] part of the subject is placed automatically by the listserv, so you don't need to include it.
Also remember to include your details at the end of your log
e.g.,
Captain Cropa Rojac
Commanding Officer
USS Chimera NX 96899-B
-------------------------
- Logging Guidelines
-------------------------
Logging:
The weekly logging deadline is at Midnight (12:00AM/00:00) GMT/UTC (19:00 EST); all logs received after the deadline will be counted for the following week. If you are pressed for time and would like a log to count for the previous week, but it is sent after the deadline, please send an email to the command team when you send the log so that we can make the corrections.
Please remember that all MAJOR plot changes need to be cleared with the command staff before a log goes through! You can do this by sending the command staff (chimera-command@ucip.org
) a log labeled with "Draft" tagged to the subject line. We'll typically let you know if it's approved within 24 to 48 hours, or tell you what might need to be modified before it's sent to the listserv.
When using other characters in your logs, please keep in mind that person's characteristics. Character information can be found on the UCIP website or the USS Chimera website (under CREW - just click on the Star Trek symbol next to the character's name). If you're still unsure how to interact with a character, then privately mail the person
involved, and I'm sure they'll be willing to help.
Conversely, if you feel that your character is being portrayed incorrectly by someone please contact them to try to work out an agreeable solution. Just keep in mind when logging to treat other characters the way you'd like them to treat you - with the respect due to any member of Starfleet who is a specialist in their field.
If you think your log may be going out of bounds, then please ask! If you are having problems finding things to write about or would just like some help with your log, please contact your department head or the command team. Remember, you don't always have to log about things relating to the main plot - logs that develop your character's
personality are encouraged! We're eager to help if you're having trouble; just email the command team (chimera-command@ucip.org
).

- On Report
-------------------------
Any officer who is Absent Without Leave (0) for two or more consecutive
weeks is considered "On Report." Crewmen on report should email the command staff immediately to explain their absence (too much to do in RL is a fine excuse) and say when they anticipate being able to log again in the future.
The following crewmen are on report:

none.
-------------------------
- Removals/Resignations
-------------------------
The following crew have either resigned or have been dropped due to lack of activity. If they would like a position on the USS Chimera, they will need to reapply.
