Location: [Padassa Station]
Time: [Immediately after Beam-Over]
Dick Winters materialized in a space he figured to be approximately two-levels high, which was filled with other Marine units getting organized. Turning around he glanced behind him, grateful to see that his platoon had materialized there with him. After establishing all his men had arrived he surveyed his surroundings; it seemed to be one of the public locations, as along both the inside and outside bulkheads were shops that had been shut down, their interiors dark and empty. The entire station had prepared for the coming battle.
"Dick! Over here!"
Spinning on his heel, the Lieutenant quickly spotted Captain Spiers making his way towards him through the crowd. He held up a hand of his own and started towards the Company Commander, smirking as he joked, "Looks like standing room only for tonight's event."
Spiers shook his head but refrained from rolling his eyes, "And we've got even more comin in across the station. Korgath and Fox Company are already set up, with S'Valak and Dog next in line."
"Sounds great," Dick replied, returning his gaze to the environment around him. "So where are we setting up shop?"
"This deck is as close to centrally located as we can get you," the Captain responded, lifting a hand to point at several of the abandoned shops. "I'd suggest setting up in those, and establishing your command post in the infirmary. From here you can mobilize to any area of the station that needs support."
Winters turned to shout to the crowd, "Bull! Get the guys off the deck! I want second squad set up over there, with half of third. The other half and first squad are gonna be set up down there, in their infirmary. Have comms set up with battalion command, ay-sap."
"Consider it done, Lieutenant," Randleman said as he turned back towards the platoon. "Guys, listen up..."
Dick turned back to Spiers, confident that his platoon sergeant would get the job done, "Any news from Intel, Captain?"
Spiers shook his head, turning to force his way back through the crowd; Winters moved to follow him. "Nothing yet," he replied as the came up to the company's first sergeant, "Sergeant, get command on the horn. Tell them Easy is secured and Dog is ready to beam over."
"Yes, sir," the young man replied as he immediately set about the task as another being approached, one much larger than any typical human.
"Second Lieutenant Dick Winters," Captain Spiers began, holding up a hand to the Klingon Officer. "Meet Lieutenant Bar'dok of the Klingon Defense Force. His forces are stationed along the local levels of the station, so you'll likely be coordinating with him.
Dick extended an arm to the wild-maned Klingon, "It's an honor to work with you."
Bar'dok grinned widely, showing a row of recently sharpened teeth, and extended his own arm, reaching past Winters' hand to tightly grasp his arm just below the elbow, "Heghlu'meH QaQ jajvam, Lieutenant!"
Meekly the Lieutenant raised an eyebrow, his arm still being held by the Defense Force warrior, "I'm...sorry. I'm...not sure what you said."
Spiers let out a laugh at the young man's nervousness, "'Today is a good day to die,' Dick."
"Oh, well, I'd rather not," began Winters, but as he felt Bar'dok's sharpened claws digging into his forearm he continued, "But if I must I can think of no better place to do it than in battle with the brave forces of the Klingon Empire."
Releasing the human, Bar'dok laughed, "Spoken like a true warrior, Lieutenant! I have men stationed down this corridor, and on the three decks both above and below this location." His grin widened as he teased the Marine, "Should you need help fighting the Romulan QI'yaH."
"Lieutenant Winters and the First Platoon have the fullest confidence of he battalion commanders and myself," Captain Spiers interjected, "If anything, you'll be calling to him for help." Dick stifled a laugh as the Klingon's face grew grim before the officer turned and walked away, presumably to his own units.
Turning back to Winters, the company commander gave the younger officer a stern gaze, "I know you're nervous, Dick, and you've got every reason to be. Just keep yourself and your men focused on the objectives, and they'll get the job done. Don't let me down."
The Lieutenant nodded, "We won't, sir. We're Easy Company..."
