[Captain's Yacht - USS Bahamut]
Entering the command deck Gustav quickly found Commander Rojac and
said "Ensign Kroitzer reporting sir" noticing another crewman talking
to him and looking about as confused as he was.
"Kroitzer!" Rojac shouted, tossing aside the pleasantries. "Take those
transporters off-line! Prioritize power to all tactical systems!"
He turned to the yellow collared First Lieutenant. "You. I need you to
work those micro-torpedo targeting systems over there." He pointed to
an auxiliary tactical console. "Fire on my order."
The Chimera's CO focused his attention back on his tactical display
before him. "Pazla, evasive pattern bravo-alpha-three."
Gustav hurried to the engineering console and after typing in a few
commands cut power to the transporters he then diverted all the power
gained to the weapons array.
Jade just nodded and swung the rifle over her shoulder and rushed over
to the auxiliary tactical station and armed the micro torpedoes and
waited for the CO's order to fire.
"Aye sir," Pazla replied as her fingers tapped across the console.
"Disengaging cloak." She rolled the Bahamut to starboard, trying to
dodge the incoming fire.
Rojac grit his teeth as he focused the targeting sensors on the dorsal
EPS relays of the small fighter craft. It would be a tricky shot due
to the quickness of the Romulan craft, but Rojac was confident in the
numbers provided by the quantum micro-torpedoes. "Target acquired
Lieutenant. Fire-at-will!"
After Rojac gave the order to fire she fired 6 micro-torpedoes four of
them hit hard on the side of the Romulan fighter destroying it
immediately where as the other two went off and exploded after not
hitting anything.
"Two fighters have taken up position on our ass, sir!" Pazla shouted,
not really caring much for formality anymore. "They're unloading
disruptors! Initiating evasive manuevers."
Noticing the positions of the 2 remaining craft Gustav diverted some
power to the aft shields just before the Romulan fighters opened fire.
Kroitzer was looking at the read outs on his console when he noticed a
build up of power "Sir we've got an overload in the starboard impulse
drive"
"Fix it, Ensign." Rojac ordered. "We can't afford to sacrifice our
mobility here." The CO turned back to his console and targeted the two
new targets taking up their aft positions and locking on their own
torpedoes. With practised skill, he found their weapons systems and
locked on.
"Lieutenant, targets locked. Fire!" Rojac ordered, noticing that the
Romulans had launched weapons of their own. He quickly fired the aft
pulse cannon and took one down, another reflected off shields but one
made contact and shuttered the small craft.
Reese targeted one of the last two fighters with three torpedoes and
all three of them slammed into the hull and it spun out of control
before blowing up, but before it did it struck the fourth and last
fighter in the area. The impact from the other fighter hit the last
fighter in the propulsion completely disabling the fighter.
Reese then fired the pulse phasers to disable there weapons to finally
eliminate there threat.
"Last fighter is hot on our trail, coming in fast at at three
o'clock," Pazla reported quickly.
Once the threat of the fighters was gone Reese switched her console
from tactical to operations to modified the shields of the yacht
quickly change your console and shift shields to match the fighters
shield frequency. "Alright I've modified our shields to match the
fighters we can move on to part two of the plan." Jade said without
turning to face the CO.
"I'm getting sick of these Romulans," Pazla muttered under her breath
as she dove the yacht downward and targeted the last fighter, firing
phasers full blast through its weakened shields, causing the Romulan
craft to explode in a fireball.
With some quick thinking and luck on his part Gustav managed to stop
the over load by diverting the power to the replicator systems on the
ship making then useless but he preferred this to the alternative "Sir
overload avoided, but I have to report the replicators are screwed"
Gustav shouting over everyone else.
injectors to stop the overload happening again, the limiter didn't
stop the power from getting to the injectors what it did stop was
excess power getting to them causing the overload and managing to keep
full manoeuvrability.
