Shane watched the beaten Federation ships gathering near SB
234. Within the station's shields radius … they were
relatively safe … unless a group of several Warbirds would
decide to bombard the station again. Two Erassian capital
ships assisted with protection and for the time being …
none was firing at the station or the ships gathered here.
There was no enemy nearby, as all the Romulan forces
withdraw to meet the Erassian fleet.
Watching the tactical holoscreen, Shane gasped: "Only 6
ships?" he asked more himself then anyone specific.
"Five our ships were already destroyed" reported Vlimar,
"Chimera is heavy damaged and crew is abandoning the ship,
Manticore is heavy damaged as well and unable to move,
D'Artagnan is engaged in a dog fight 200.000 km away from
here"
"What about the Erassian fleet?" Shane asked.
"Holding very well till now." Came the reply.
"they've lost only three ships and destroyed 22 in
total. But those newly decloaked forces are beating them
heavily … The Romulans focused all firepower against the
Erassians. We are forgotten for the time being, but I guess
that wont last for long …"
Shane nodded: "So do I. But we can't let the Erassians
fight and die for OUR fight …" After a short pause he
made his decision: "New orders for the fleet. I want every
ship able to do so … to follow us. They have to attack the
same target as we do and fire at will. Concentrating our
firepower could help us to take several Warbirds quickly,
easing the pressure on Ivanov and his forces."
Vlimar nodded and tapped his console. After a short time, he
said: "Sir, the fleet is responding …"

Shane sighed. With some of the more damaged ships staying
under the protection of the Starbase, Shane's fleet
consisted only of a few ships … and all of them were
damaged … to a greater or smaller degree.
Now that he was sure about what to do, Shane wasted no time
and ordered: "HELM, We shall attack the Romulans from the
right flank, set the course and engage on my mark. OPS …
transmit the course to all our fleet ships …"
"Engage!" he called.
