- Plot Information

THIS WEEK:
- Bridge Crew: We NEED to finish the bridge JL. That means the BREN and JONAS both need to add their parts, please.
- Engineering: The electricty from the storms is sure to cause some interference in some systems - and put a tax on our shield emitters, keep them up and running (and feel free to have some type of probelm come up). OH! And prepare a shuttle for the away team, as transporters won't work in the nebula.
- Security: Prepare the detail for the AT please.
- Medical: Prepare for an emergency. If shields go down we all get radiation poisoning.
- Harker Situation: Does Shane find out this week?
- Who's fixing the damage from the explosion?
- Shipyard: Has Rick found a solution to his supply problem?
LAST WEEK:
CHIMERA
- Operations - set up the communications program for inter-ship communications among the Task Group.
- Engineering - make the hardware configurations for the above mentioned program.
- Flight Ops - Xerxes, kick Rojac a JL with you asked to report to his ready room after we're underway.
- Security - Train your security detail in UNARMED security techniques. You will NOT be allowed to carry weapons in the negotiations! Prepare a batch of combadges with some tranporter signal amplifiers.
- Medical - free reign.
- Shipyard - I know supplies are dwindled, but make some Lancers. How are you going to solve the supply problem?
- Chisulo - Lead your assault! Take back the vulcan colony!
- ARA - are wel still doing this plot?
- Intel - the allien in stasis! What's going on with it?
- Ayanami - Get aboard the Chimera! (Or do you have other plans?)

Following the Senior Officers' Briefing, Athena stays behind to request being a member of the delegation that meets with Ivanov. At first Rojac refuses, but Commander Trzetrzelewska suggests the Counselor's presence might be beneficial and Athena succeeds in convincing the captain.
Marine Captain Xerxes meets with Captain Rojac where they discuss her precarious situation and dual loyalty to both the Federation and the Erassian Alliance. Rojac requests that she be part of the delegation that will meet with Ivanov, and she accepts. As a last request, he orders her to see a counselor before the mission.
Commander Ohmsford meets with the four CO's of the Chimera, the Magellan, the Eagle and the Rapier to discuss their strategy for the upcoming mission. Bren orders that the Magellan and the Rapier stay at the outskirts of the Grand Banks while the Chimera and the Eagle meet with the Erassian Second Fleet. Without any objections, they adjourn to prepare for the departure.
In Sickbay, Nanee Quiocho is glad to give control back to Dr Rice after he returns from the Senior Officer's Briefing. After her first taste of running Sickbay, she realises it's a rather stressful position to be in.
Newly promoted acting Chief Engineer, Lieutenant Kroitzer, meets with Anya Xerxes to discuss the missile propulsion system she asked him to work on. Satisfied with Kroizter's work, she asks him to complete six dozen of each type of design.
= UNITY Summary = (Rangi)
Rick was frustrated by the delay in getting new supplies for the shipyard and spoke to Commander Mackey about it.He was horrified to learn that the three weeks he had been promised had now turned to four. He made a veiled threat of contacting Admiral Jefferson and Mackey said he would see what could be done. Rick returned to his quarters for some well deserved sleep but woke from a nightmare that took him back to his torture at Hoack's hands terrified and panic struck.
Meanwhile, Jefferson discovered that Captain Dunsmore had authorised the sending of the unescorted convoy to Unity and so was responsible for the loss of 200 lives and 8 cargo ships. Jefferson relieved Dunsmore of his duties pending an inquiry.
Rangi and Martin, ready for a planned mini holiday on Aeran, had to leave without Shane due to him being delayed. They met Liev in the turbo lift who told them he was travelling to the planet too but in the transporter room, following an explosion, he produced a pistol and ordered them onto the transporter padds, taking them to a shuttle. Once there it became clear that Liev was a chameloid..Uahk.A Romulan male and a human female controlled the shuttle. The woman..Harker, explained that Liev had had access to Task Force data which he had passed on, thus enabling the shuttle to move undetected through the tachyon grid. Rangi was forced to send Shane a message stating that all
was well but she included a clue that would hopefully warn him that something was awry. They were then locked into a small room.There was no means of escape and whilst Martin slept, Rangi wondered if Shane had received the message and if so, what he could do to trace them.

She was already pretty sure that everyone was looking at her anyway since one of the former CMO's of the Chimera was her cousin MaiKai Rodgers; who is now stationed on Starbase Unity.

Logging:
The weekly logging deadline is at Midnight (12:00AM/00:00) GMT/UTC (19:00 EST); all logs received after the deadline will be counted for the following week. If you are pressed for time and would like a log to count for the previous week, but it is sent after the deadline, please send an email to the command team when you send the log so that we can make the corrections.
Please remember that all MAJOR plot changes need to be cleared with the command staff before a log goes through! You can do this by sending the command staff (chimera-command@ucip.org ) a log labeled with "Draft" tagged to the subject line. We'll typically let you know if it's approved within 24 to 48 hours, or tell you what might need to be modified before it's sent to the listserv.
When using other characters in your logs, please keep in mind that person's characteristics. Character information can be found on the UCIP website or the USS Chimera website (under CREW - just click on the Star Trek symbol next to the character's name). If you're still unsure how to interact with a character, then privately mail the person
involved, and I'm sure they'll be willing to help.
Conversely, if you feel that your character is being portrayed incorrectly by someone please contact them to try to work out an agreeable solution. Just keep in mind when logging to treat other characters the way you'd like them to treat you - with the respect due to any member of Starfleet who is a specialist in their field.
If you think your log may be going out of bounds, then please ask! If you are having problems finding things to write about or would just like some help with your log, please contact your department head or the command team. Remember, you don't always have to log about things relating to the main plot - logs that develop your character's
personality are encouraged! We're eager to help if you're having trouble; just email the command team (chimera-command@ucip.org).

New Cadets are given two (2) weeks upon joining to observe the sim. After the initial observation period, Cadets and other crew are required to post at least one log per week (unless on excused or on LOA).
Promotion is based upon quality and regularity of logging, among other
factors All promotions after Lieutenant Commander require review and
