“Commanding General’s Log, stardate twenty four, oh nine, oh nine, point twenty.
With the arrival of the first and third battalion’s of the 2nd POF Regiment, security aboard Padassa is as secure as can be guaranteed by conventional means. With approximately two thousand marines now stationed aboard this station, I feel secure in the knowledge that should the station be boarded, that it could be defended to the utmost of our abilities. However, my confidence waivers at our space defences.
Repairs to the station’s extremely rudimentary defensive systems have been delayed due to the Erassian’s continued insistence of reverse engineering everything they find, to adapt it to their own technology in a hope of creating a yet better weapon. With most of the first task force deployed on other operations, and the Erassian forces deployed thinly as well, our perimeter defence is pretty much in the hands of the Klingon’s, who seem extremely reluctant to hang around and wait for a fight that might not come. Defence is already patchy with the handful of ships they have around us as is, without them continuously disappearing for days on end to go on hunting raids.
I have tried, without much success to convince the senior Klingon’s of the importance of defending Padassa, but with the front moving forward each day, the warriors grow restless, and I cannot say I blame them. However, having made a deal with one of the senior Klingon Commander’s, by the name of Krang, I feel more certain that operations can proceed normally.
With the problems securing Padassa, I have found it difficult to focus on the other tasks set me by Admiral Guzman, to the extent of securing the sector. Although we are meeting some resistance, for the most part, all raids and assaults by 2nd Battalion have gone well. I remain concerned with Easy Co. due to the lack of communication, and our one burst from them suggests that they’re in serious trouble. However, with
With the arrival of Brigadier Stirling to take command of area operations, with the continued support of Major Westbourne in ops, I feel I can now devote my time to Operation Valkrye, which is a major operation against the Romulan military. Once Easy
I remain supremely confident in our ability to strike fear into the enemy and show him that the Federation will not falter in its desire to win.
