[USS Chimera] SD: 240910.17 ||Bravo|| || Serpent JL 2 ||

[USS Serpent]

Rojac stared at the hypnotic, swirling mass of color that was the Romulan dimensional gate. If Rojac did not comprehend the danger the beautiful display represented, he would probably have liked it - instead the sight instilled in his gut a sense of dread and vengeance. He wanted to cut the display short.

The Captain turned to the young Ops Lieutenant to his right. "Jones," he said urgently, "get the detonator from Cortez, quickly."

"Aye Sir." Jones said as he stood up and made his way past chairs and consoles to make it to the back once back there he  looked around looking for Cortez to get the detonator for the Captain. After locating Cortez he headed over to him and also where the doctor was.

"Kroitzer, hop on the sensors and give me whatever you can as soon as you can on whatever is coming out of that gate."

Gustav said "Aye sir" as he left his chair to take up the co-pilots seat and he quickly set about getting all the sensor data he could.

[Serpent - Aft]

Cortez writhed around suddenly waking up to see Fisher the ships CMO standing over him. To his side was another man whose face he couldn't remember.

"Excuse me doc." Jones said he then looked at Cortez, "Sir the Captain needs the detonator where is it?" Jones asked not really wanting to use up more time and allow more of what ever was going to come through the gate.

Scott, was too engrossed in dealing with the massive wound to take much notice of someone standing beside him and it wasnt until he turned to reach for more medication that he found his way blocked. "Out of the way." he said shortly.

Not completely understanding the question or what this man wanted and unable to speak, Cortez pointed to his gear which had been taken off by the medic.  It was laying on the ground a few feet from the bed he was laying down on.

Jones opened the case that Cortez pointed to once it was open Jones moved some stuff around and then shut it again, "it's not in here." Jones said standing up and looking at Cortez with a shock look on his face. He then heard the doc say something which made Jones look and he realized that he was in his way. The Major suddenly felt a warm fuzzy feeling moving up his arm from where the doctor had injected something and into the rest of his body. He realized he was suddenly becoming very drowsy again.

"Detonator?" How should I know?!...will you get out of the way? I need to get in there." Scott pointed to the open medkit.

Jones finally realized what the doc wanted, "Sorry." Jones said stepping back to allow the doc to get in there, "Is there any other cases that the detonator may be in?" Jones said looking around the back compartment hoping that it wasn't on the station. 'Detonator' Cortez thought, 'its on the damn station' he wanted to yell, but all that came out was a few small gasps and grunts.  A few seconds later he was passed out again.

Scott grabbed hold of Cortez arm and looked at the open fingers. "There is no detonator..ok?...now get out of the way!" he said glaring up at Jones

Dare looked down at the bleeding Cortez and tried not to smirk.  Seeing him injured so much gave her a certain sense of satisfaction.  Her team could have done it without ending up like that.  She wasn't entirely ungrateful however, the distraction he'd caused had allowed her team to get their task completed quicker and without as much romulan resistance.  Pity, she'd be looking forward to a good killing spree.  A small sigh then she spoke up.  "Captain Rojac, the data we retrieved is being prepared and entered onto a PADD for you."

[Cockpit]

Gustav looked at the screen in front of him in disbelief  "Sir I think you need to see this" he said pointing to the screen a ship appearing from the gate "It's registering as… large sir, very large… about four miles long and huge".

"Four miles?" Rojac said in disbelief. He pulled up his own navigational sensors. "Holy hell." He muttered. "Xerxes' Lancers are moving in, put us in on their comm system." Rojac said, as he took a course away from the station.

The Chief Engineer activated the comms but the result was a poor connection at best.

Static blared through the audio systems in the cockpit.

+Anti-Ship Missiles to take out the engines first then start dropping the full size torps.  Have Windhover Squadron provide medium range intercept support for Chimera as we only have the primary phaser arrays online.  Keep them busy till we can get in
weapons range.+ It was Walters' voice that was heard on the line.

Rojac listened intently as the fighters confirmed their orders, just as Jones returned from the aft of the shuttle.

Walking back up front after searching through numerous cases, "sir no detonator I believe it's still on the station." Jones said knowing that's not the best of news that the CO wanted to hear.

The Romulan Cruiser was blasted apart by several extremely high intensity energy beams from the gargantuan ship moving through the gate

+Unknown vessel, this is Major Xerxes of the USS Chimera-C.  Identify yourself immediately.+

Rojac barely hear it, he was focused on Jones' revelation. "What?" He grit his teeth. His ace in the hole had met a royal flush. "No detonator."

Jones looked as if he were about to speak when the transmission from the unknown ship came in.

+Aunty Anya?+

Rojac's eyes widened, and he swiveled back around in is chair to face his sensors.
