Walking into the large classroom Jade was greeted by a Ensign, "morning ma'am I'm Ensign DeChant (NPC)." The young Ensign said, "I was assigned to be your teachers aide." Louis said handing her a tablet.
Jade nodded and took a look at the tablet it had the course outline as well as the roster looking through it most of students were Ensigns there were a few junior Lieutenants and 2 cadets. "Why are there two cadets I thought this was a Ensign or higher course?" Jade asked.
"Well two cadets are allowed to take it as long as they graduated in the top 1% of their class and have done 3 months or longer on a ship, station or colony." Louis said pulling out two silicon-base papers and handing them to Jade, "these are there thesis statements from the academy they're impressive." Louis said smiling.
"Alright I'll read them tonight." Jade said setting them down on the desk next to her she then went through the simulations choices she had. "Alright I think we'll start out with doing some simulations first and then we'll go over them this way I know what they know and don't know." Jade said, "could you request a holosuite for 0700?" Jade asked her TA.
"Of course do you know what simulation yet?" He asked hoping that it was not to difficult but not easy by any means seeing that she wanted to see how well they'll do and if it's to easy it won't give her the right information and if it's too hard then she might think they don't know what they're doing.
"I'll have one picked out tonight and I'll get here early to run it and see if it's the one I want and if not I'll have a couple of backups." Jade said not wanting to bring up her other task for him until after their first day of class was over. She was truly looking forward to this, "alright see you here at 0530." Jade said wanting to give enough time to run through the simulation she chooses to make sure it's the right one.
"Alright." Louis said, "and it's good to meet you I've heard about of some the things you've done on the Chimera very impressive." Louis said smiling thinking that he was also going to be learning as well as the students.
"Well it's a pleasure to meet you to Ensign." Jade said picking up the two thesis papers she was actually looking forward to reading them remembering what her thesis was on. Dealing with EPS relays and manifolds showing that you can get more power then what the ships manifest says you can without blowing them out.
