[USS Chimera] SD240904.10- Personal Log- Cadet Brock
==^== Quarters==^==
Pamela wearily went to her quarters and was admitted. She was so worn out- from doing physicals. That seemed silly to her, but the fact of the matter was it was nothing but good ole repetition. Pamela always had a distaste for repetition, but it was part of life. She had completed her first week of duty. She enjoyed being on duty more than anything else, but still, she enjoyed the time when she had the opportunity to get to know the ship. She really enjoyed the starbase. Everyone had indeed told her right, that space was different than earth. The thing she enjoyed, was everything was in the same vicinity. Her work, recreational facilities, her quarters, a restaurant. She thought that work was about the same, only this time, she had a boss. In the past, she was her own boss, and ordered everyone around, now the tables were turned. She forgot what it was like to have a boss.
Oh well. She headed toward her desk, as she had a message waiting for her. She looked away from it when she seen who the sender was. It was her mother... She looked at her chronometer and compared it to the time the message was sent, and decided that her mother was still up. She opened it to see a message that said that her parents were so glad that she had recieved a posting aboard the USS Chimera. After reading the message, Pamela signed off and went to go see what she could get into, as she did not want to be alone. Pamela never did find anything that she wanted to do, so back off to her quarters she went. It was going to be a long night, as she did not think that she would get any sleep. She sat at her desk and looked at everything that was on it. She knew what she could do, work on reports as far as the physicals. She thought for a second... she knew that an all nighter would have a deterimental affect on her health for the next few days, but with her medicine, she should be okay. She had her mind made up after that, she would indeed work on reports. Her next day off, she would sleep.
During the night, during her reports, she kept on looking at the time what seemed like every few minutes to her. Those reports were getting to her. Until then, she had already done 20 reports out of all the physicals that she had completed. She was making progress, but it was so slow. Finally, she ended up nodding off to sleep. She woke up a few hours later at 0530 and once she noticed what time it was, she hurried up and started to get ready for another day of physicals. Once she was ready to work, she grabbed her stuff that would be required, and took off in a run to Sickbay.
