Give a big welcome to the Chimera's new Chief Engineer, LtCmdr Curtis Scardona. I've simmed with him befroe when I commanded the Dark Horizon; so I can vouch that he's a good simmer. We say farewell to Rick, our former CEO, and to Birt our Chief Tactical Officer, as RL takes them from us. We hope that one day, time will be more easily available for them to come back. Until then, we wish them the best.
Onward, the Chimera has arrived (in next weeks report). All crew need to get abaord to prpare for the shakedown cruise. Let's get busy.

Greetings everyone,
A much quieter week this time, but considering the record number we
had last week, that was certainly to be expected! The Chimera makes
her way to Unity as R&R winds down and most likely next week we'll
start to see the beginnings of the new plot for the ship. As for

Athena had bad dreams until Viktor arrived. Next day she met
Counsellor Stephen Jacobs.
Vlimar had returned to his office and looked through the
data Rick had been working on. He contacted the ACEO.
Nyx avoided the unwanted attention of an admirer.Later she
caught up with Jerom and conducted an evaluation over
lunch.She reported her findings about Ricks attack to Rojac.
Joeleco met h/ir new troops and made it plain what was
expected of them...namely to kill Romulans.
Chisulo, fortified by tea, compiled reports.
Tom contacted Rojac about a disciplinery incident concerning
one of the crew.
Jade organised her department and set them to work.
Gustav and his team completed the trials of the new ship
which returned to the shipyards for final checks.
Anya interrupted Athena and Viktors dinner but was
interrupted herself by the arrival of Lilianna.Anya was
shocked by the revelation that Lilianna was her grandmother
and Viktor didnt like the message he received either.
Rangi woke up to find Shane was home at last but it turned
out to be a very short visit.
The Rapier docked at SB Unity with Pazla and Natalia
onboard.Natalia met the Rapiers captain and liked his manner
so agreed to go for a coffee with him. He told her Rapier

Logging:
The weekly logging deadline is at Midnight (12:00AM/00:00) GMT/UTC (19:00 EST); all logs received after the deadline will be counted for the following week. If you are pressed for time and would like a log to count for the previous week, but it is sent after the deadline, please send an email to the command team when you send the log so that we can make the corrections.
Please remember that all MAJOR plot changes need to be cleared with the command staff before a log goes through! You can do this by sending the command staff (chimera-command@ucip.org ) a log labeled with "Draft" tagged to the subject line. We'll typically let you know if it's approved within 24 to 48 hours, or tell you what might need to be modified before it's sent to the listserv.
When using other characters in your logs, please keep in mind that person's characteristics. Character information can be found on the UCIP website or the USS Chimera website (under CREW - just click on the Star Trek symbol next to the character's name). If you're still unsure how to interact with a character, then privately mail the person
involved, and I'm sure they'll be willing to help.

Conversely, if you feel that your character is being portrayed incorrectly by someone please contact them to try to work out an agreeable solution. New Cadets are given two (2) weeks upon joining to observe the sim. After the initial observation period, Cadets and other crew are required to post at least one log per week (unless on excused or on LOA).
