Gustav had just arrived back at engineering after his meeting with
Reese about how they would set up a secure comms network between all
for ships in the task group. He was thinking of who to rope into
helping him design what they needed when he thought of Ensign Jobes, a
brilliant engineer that stands about 5'1" with dark brown hair and
eyes, she was newly transferred onto the Chimera when we were docked
at Unity.
Sitting in his CO's office he tapped his comms badge.

Jobes had only been on Chimera for a couple of days, this being her
first on the job and she wondered what the DCEO wanted.
She approached the door to the CEO's office and tapped the button to
trigger the chime, the door opened and she stepped inside "Ensign
Jobes reporting as ordered" she said while snapping off a salute
hoping to make a good impression.
Gustav looked up from the screen embedded into the desk and signalled
to a seat opposite him "good to meet you Ensign".
"Good to meet you as well sir" she responded
Gustav made a small cringe "please don't call me Sir, its Gustav I'm
only Sir when there is a superior officer around" he said not liking
to be called Sir like his first CO Rick Rogers.
"I've asked you here because I've read your file and see you're a
master bodger able to adapt tech to do something it wasn't designed to
do.
Still wondering where this meeting was going all Jobes did was nod.
"We have to adapt the ships tachyon communication emitters to create
short range burst transmissions between the four ships so that it
would be harder to intercept the transmissions," Gustav explained.
The task that was getting explained to her was intriguing Jobes.
Gustav saw the eager look on the Ensigns face and carried on
explaining "the modifications made have to be simple and quick to do
so that the engineers on the other ships can also make them on there
own boats".
"Aye Gustav" she responded adding "is that everything"
Gustav smiled at her enthusiasm "yes Ensign it is… dismissed".
