[USS Chimera] SD240912.30 | 4-Way Log COps, CEO, CHelm, ASec | MCapt Reese, Lt Dior, Lt Kroitzer, 1lt Castillo | "Battle Simulations"

= Holosuite Room 1, Andor =

Jade walked into the holosuite that was designated for her and her
team later that she had recieved detailed information on what the
simulation was going to be like. She was going to be commanding a
Steamrunner class a heavy frigate the class that Jade preferred fast
and maneuverable. With it's 3 Type X Phaser Emitters able to fire in a
720 degree firing arc and then it's 2 Type II Photon Torpedoes
launchers with a 250 torpedo inventory and they've added depth charges
to the arsenal as will.

According to the layout of the simulation SF wants to see how
effective a Frigate class is against a larger class ship and seeing if
adding a older style of weapon helps it or hinders it. "Morning." Jade
said walking to the Captains chair, "Jones I want you at tactical."
Jade said needing someone she knew that could handle that station.

"Aye ma'am." Ianto (NPC) said walking over to the tactical station and
familiarizing himself with it as Jade waited for the rest of her crew
to arrive she looked over the ship they were going up against a Norway
Class a Medium Cruiser, "this is going to be interesting." Jade said
to herself as two more familiar faces showed up it was Lt Kroitzer and
Lt Dior (NPC). "Morning you two." Jade said smiling as she looked at
her list and seeing that they were also on her team.

"Captain." Dior nodded and snapped a quick salute as she briskly
walked over toward the helm station at the front of the bridge. She
cracked her knuckles above the console like a concert pianist a she
settled back into her seat and read through the schematics and
diagnostics. "Well, she's not as advanced as what I'm used to, but at
least with this digital model the scratches won't come out of my
paycheck."

"Morning Captain " Kroitzer said while making his way to the
engineering console pulling up the relevant info on the displays in
front of him thinking that everything was just to perfect in
simulations, he understood the need for them but just didn't much like them.

"Alright everyone ready." Jade said continuing of thinking of how they
could be this Norway class ship with these new weapons.

"All readings are normal on my end" Gustav replied to the Captain.

"Conn is good to go." Dior reported.

= Holosuite 2, Andor =

LtCmdr S'Hran (NPC) an Andorian male entered the holosuite and as Jade
did he went and took a seat in the Captains chair the simulation was
already stacked seeing how S'Hran is in command of a Norway class
already and has his bridge crew plus two new comers. The Norway class
has 3 more Type X Phaser emitters then the Steamrunner but the the
extra weapons made the Norway class heavier then the Steamrunner.

Castillo, feeling exhausted from the night before, grudgingly stepped
inside.  He purposely looked away from everyone trying to hide the
large red mark on his forehead from where his own boot had hit him the
night before.  Sitting down at the tactical seat he strapped himself
in, glanced at the controls and wondered who the man sitting in the
captain's chair was.  "So who's stupid idea was this anyways", he said
aloud, to nobody in-particular.

The Andorian Captain turned around in his chair to face the 1Lt, "do
you not think it's a good idea for SF to not train their officers in
simulations to get them prepared for battle?" The Andorian said
looking like he would hit the 1Lt if he said something similar to
"whose stupid idea was this?"

Charly rolled his eyes, "Calm down cupcake, don't get your antlers in
a knot", he said  punching a few commands into the screen in front of
him and smirking to himself.

"It would do you well to mind your manners." The tellarite a science
snorted at Castillo. "It may be a simulation, but you can still be
cited for insubordination. Twit."

"Everyone quite." S'Hran said loudly becoming irritated just as he said that the simulation began. "Alright anything on sensors?" He asked turning to his trusted science officer.

The tellarite pulled at his teal collar and snorted as his read-out
screens came to life as the simulation began. He tapped a few commands
on his screen before reporting in. "Primary sensors pick-up a contact
at bearing 720 mark 051. Distance at 804 megameters." He focused the
sensor resolution on the contact for a more detailed reading. "I'm
picking up a duranium hull, deflector shields and impulse exhaust.
Readings consistent with a steamrunner class ship."

"Red alert." S'Hran said as he spun back to face the view screen S'Hran smiled he enjoyed going up against more agile ships it forced him to think outside of the box.

"Transferring primary sensors to tactical." The tellarite said with a
glare to the smug First Lieutenant manning the guns.

"Tactical has the sensors", Castillo confirmed, "Tell me, how long you
been growing that beard?", he said glancing back at the Tellarite.  "I
know a great barber that could trim that thing, maybe add some
conditioner to bring out the body a bit..."

The Tellarite snarled.

= Holosuite One =

"They're taking an intercept course, Captain." Dior reported. She
reached over and slapped a command on the navigation console bringing
up a tactical display of the two ships projected courses. "They will
be at weapons range in t-minus thirty-four seconds."

Jade looked down at her sensor data that she was getting in the armrest of her chair the simulation added some spacial anomalies this one they added a nebula, "Lt head for the nebula I want to add some interference to their sensors." Jade said knowing that it'll be messing their sensors as will.

"Aye aye." Dior replied, and swung the steamrunner hard to port,
cutting the parallel course to the other ship. She glanced back to her
console. "They took the bait." She called back.

Gustav checking both the engineering console and science console noticed an increase
in speed, he was just about to tell the Captain when he noticed a build up of power
"Ma'am enemy ship is increasing speed and charging weapons!"

"Alright." Jade said seeing that they still needed 20 seconds until they were into the nebula, "get 2 of the EMP depth charges ready." Jade said turning to tactical knowing even if the other ship veered off the depth charge would go off and hopefully the shockwave will hit the ship.

= Holosuite Two =

"Target acquired", Castillo sounded off.

"Fire." S'Hran said as he kept an eye on the view screen and the fleeing Streamrunner.

"I'm detecting shrapnel." The tellarite snorted. "No wait. Residual
traces of--- It's an explosive de--"

The artificial bridge shuttered against the blast of the artificial
depth charge, but what should have been a minor tremor turned to be
much more so. First, the power to the holosuite was cut, reducing the
room to pitch black darkness. The holographic photons dissipated and
all hands of the Norway class fell from their no longer existing chairs.

They groaned in darkness until another explosion rocked the small room
and the wall split open, belching hot fire and flame.

The explosion knocked Castillo back, if it wasn't for the straps
holding him in he would have surely been blown off.  Dazed he quickly
unstrapped himself and turned around.  Rubbing his eyes from the
burning smoke he stepped towards the Tellarite officer who was now
laying on the floor.  Kneeling beside him he turned him onto his back
to check to see if he was still alive.

S'Hran groaned loudly as he tried to sit up grabbing his head he felt a sticky substance on the back of his head assuming that it was blood from him hitting his head on the floor. Finally standing up and realizing that the lights were all off, "report." He shouted wanting to know who was hurt and who wasn't.

= Holosuite One =

Rayna felt the hard surface of floor against her face as she laid face
down on the holosuite floor. The working empathic part of her empathic
brain picked up constant movement - a common side effect of panic,
which she could readily agree with considering the conditions.

She carefully stood up and surveyed the scene. There was a large gash
in the wall from which a ale orange light came in from the burning
halls beyond. She could here screams outside the room. She wanted to
help, but her initial attention was drawn to the figure lying
face-down behind her. Rayna rushed over to Marine Captain Reese and
checked her vitals.

"Captain Reese?" She asked hurriedly. "Are you okay?"

Jade fall to the ground was as abrupt as everyone else's and it took her a few minuets to realize what happened but just as she realized that there was no power. Her head felt like it was going to split open with all the confusion and loosing conscious she felt the wave of panic rush over her. "No." Jade said grabbing her head trying to a breathing exercise that she was taught hoping to at least get enough of the voices out of her head so that she could concentrate on what needed to be done.
