"Captain Chisulo."
Tedros looked up from his position at the master display table in the center of the room and towards the blue collared Science officer at the main science display. "Report Lieutenant."
"I'm picking up atmospheric disturbance in sector H-270 of Aeran III's stratosphere." The trill lieutenant j.g. replied.
"What's your assessment?" Chisulo asked, his interest piqued. He stepped away from the holographic repreesntation of UNITY, Aeran III and the TF vessels and squadrons present in the system. "Is it a ship?"
"Unknown sir." The trill woman replied. "It's hard to get a steady reading with all the atmospheric turbulence. It could be a ship trying to escape the atmosphere on low power, or it could be a meteorite burning up in the stratosphere. It's hard to tell."
"But we must investigate." Chisulo traced a finger around the holographic model and found the closest squadron patrol. "UNITY to Red Leader. Do you copy?"
+Affirmative UNITY.+ Came a steady, laconic voice. +Marine Captain Gron here.+
Chisulo pulled up Gron's personnel file on the table mounted padd. He was a decorated Vulcan pilot who had recently promoted as leader to UNITY's Red Valkyrie squadron as the previous Commander joined up with Major General Sharpe's MEF Fighter Wing. "Red Leader, I need you to investigate an atmospheric disturbance at sector H-270."
+Aye, sir.+ The Vulcan pilot replied. +What are the rules of engagement?+
"Failure to adhere to the Quarantine shall be me with debilitating force." Chisulo replied. "Disable their propulsion systems and shields. If necessary I will contact the Magellan to recover the offenders."
+Understood, UNITY.+
"Communications will maintain an open commlink. Chisulo out." The African Captain nodded toward the on-duty communications officer, who acknowledged the command.
"Anything further to report, Lieutenant?" Chisulo asked the trill at Science.
"Well," she looked up from her read-outs, "from what I'm reading here it's definitely not entering the atmosphere."
"Just what I feared." Chisulo muttered. "UNITY to Magellan. Unknown vessel at sector H-270. Red Squadron moving to intercept. Move in for back-up. Do you copy?"
