After leaving the conference room he made his way to bridge as quickly as possible he wanted to brief Ianto on the new mission to rescue the away team. Ian didn't like the idea of the Captain leading this team but usually once the CO makes a decision it's that decision that sticks. Entering the bridge Ian moved over to the ops console, "Lt I need to brief you." Ian said waving over a Ensign to take over the console for a bit.
"Okay." Ianto said stepping away from the console to allow the Ensign in, "what's going on?" Ianto asked looking at the look on Ian's face.
"The USS Eagle was just hit by a Thalaron Cruiser and the Captain put a team together to go get the away team on the station and you're apart of it." Ian said hating to rush through the brief seeing that it might take some time t process it but seeing that they really didn't have that kind of time.
"Okay." Was all Ianto could say knowing the full effect of the Thalaron Cruiser weapon and knowing that there was no survivors, "what's my part on the rescue mission?" Ianto asked.
"You'll be working with the transporters and whatever else the Captain needs. And I need you to get to the shuttle bay now." Ian said.
Ianto just nodded and then headed for the turbolift which would take him to the shuttle bay he didn't really notice but his hands shaking slightly he wasn't sure if it was hearing the news about the Eagle or about the order that he was going on this rescue mission in a shuttle while there were large Romulan ships out there he knew that they would have the protection from the Chimera but she was just one ship.
Once Ianto was gone Ian headed behind the ops console and relieved the Ensign Ian decided that he would stay at this post until both the rescue and away teams were back aboard the Chimera. He then started getting this prepared for the next stage of the mission he wanted to make sure everything was in working order.
