[USS Chimera] SD240910.06 Joint Duty Log - LtCmdr/MCapt AMO/COps T'Vel and Jade Reese - "Adjusting to a New Found Ability" Part II

=/\= Infirmary, SB UNITY =/\=

Jade entered the infirmary smiling seeing that this might be the last day that she comes in to get poked, probed or prodded which she didn't mind and she was grateful for everyone in the infirmary doing everything they did and could do to figure out what was going on. But she wanted to be on the Chimera to help push the Romulans back and end this war but she would've been useless if these headaches continued.

Walking up to the checkin desk Jade smiled at the nurse on duty over the visits Jade had pretty much seen all of the day shift staff and every time she came in she got a warm smile from the ones she saw, "Morning Nurse Mendez how are you doing?" Jade asked giving the nurse a big smile.

"Good morning, Captain Reese," Melinda Mendez greeted the regular visitor.

"That's good to hear. I have another appointment with LtCmdr T'Vel." Jade said after they did a couple of exchanges she then waited until the nurse found her appointment.

"Ah here it is," Melinda said when she found the appointment. "Please have a seat, the doctor will see you shortly."

"Alright thanks." Jade said she then walked over to a chair and took a seat waiting until one of the nurses came and got her and brought her back to where the Cmdr's office is. This was one thing she was getting old with but like with anything waiting always got old she thought to herself as she looked around the waiting room there were a few other officers waiting to be seen as well.

A few moments later the door to T'Vel's office opened and the Vulcan doctor stepped out. "Captain Reese, you may come in," she greeted Jade.

"Thank you Commander." Jade said giving the Vulcan a smile as she entered into the office she took a seat in one of the chairs.

"How are you feeling?" T'Vel asked as they stepped inside her office. "Have you been performing the exercises I prescribed for you?"

"Much better I've been able to go since are last meeting to now with out any pain medication." Jade said seeing that's huge strides. "And yes I've been doing the exercise that you prescribed me." Jade added.

"That is good," T'Vel responded. "Have you had any success in blocking out unwanted thoughts from others?"

"Yes but I do find it difficult when I first wake up and near the end of the day. But I figure with more practice with meditation and other things we work on those times of days will become easier." Jade said smiling impressed with her progress and also on how the Commander taught her how to block unwanted thoughts.

"It will indeed," T'Vel replied confidently. "You progressed well and I believe this will be our last session."

"Thanks." Jade said glad that she was almost done and she'll be able to get back to work. She was also hoping that the Chimera would be okay after this aggressive move.

"Let us begin," T'Vel said as she sat down with Jade and they began to prepare themselves for the mind-meld.

Nodding Jade took her place on the ground like the first time and took a couple of deep breaths to clear her mind and with quick nod of her head they began. After awhile T'Vel pulled back Jade felt exhausted but if she wanted to do go again she would be able to do which she couldn't have done before.

"You are doing well," T'Vel commented. "Your strength in resistance has grown much."

"Thanks." Jade said standing up, "again thank you for helping me out with this you don't know how much I appreciate you doing this." Jade said as she reached the door. With that she headed to the front desk to make a follow up appointment with Commander Summers.
