=/\= Escape Pod =/\= The escape pod whizzed through space towards the planet that was in view, eventually being pulled by the gravity into the planet's atmosphere. Immediately, the escape pod picked up speed as a fire began to ignite around it, causing for Kimberly to suddenly become petrified. Karishma could feel the immense fear that the young woman exuded so she leaned over and pat her on the hand. "It's all right, Kimberly. That is natural. Nothing is wrong with the escape pod." She spoke softly in a soothing voice. Out the viewport, she could glimpse two other escape pods descending into the atmosphere, falling towards the planet below. She motioned at the window towards the two other escape pods, "See? They are fine. Just like we are. We shall soon be down on the planet and then we can reunite with the others." A silence suddenly set in, the woman exceedingly terrified where Karishma attempted to remain calm and collected. That is quite often how she was. Several minutes passed in relative silence as the escape pod plummeted towards the planet that lingered below. "I don't like this. Leaving the Chimera like that." Kimberly spoke, breaking the silence. "Wicked Romulans." Karishma could sense that her fear had subsided and that she was calm. "For now…" Karishma started. "It is the wisest course of action. What did you think would have been better? Remaining there until our ship was blown to bits?" She shook her head, "My only concern though is if we actually get the ship back. Nothing can be done with Romulan Warbirds surrounding it like predators." She sighed; casting a glance towards her bag filled with an assortment of medical items that she always kept packed in case of an emergency. The engineering officer responded with silence, taking to staring out the viewport as the planet came closer and closer. Green mountains, verdant meadows, a forest of strange gnarled trees and a lake came into view. In all, it seemed like a lovely planet but considering the circumstances, Karishma's mind was engaged in the crises at present. "Where did your burns and injured leg come from?" She inquired, breaking the silence. The woman's dark eyes studied the burns on her hand then glanced towards Karishma. "An accident in engineering. There was a leak and some sort of machinery landed on my leg." Kimberly responded in a quiet manner, seemingly calm. Karishma made a face, "That doesn't sound quite pleasant. Well when we are down on the planet, I will take a look at it." Another silence descended on the occupants of the escape pod. Karishma turned her gaze towards the viewport, taking note of the time it would take to touch down on the planet. "That is a nice ring you have there." Kimberly stated, pointing a finger towards her wedding finger. Karishma grimaced at the compliment before simply muttering, "Thank you." The woman tilted her head, clearly noticing Karishma's response, "Why do you make such a face? It is a beautiful ring. At least I like it." "Now is not the time to speak of such frivolous things!" Karishma snapped, almost glaring at the woman. Once the escape pod had landed, Karishma unstrapped herself before releasing Kimberly from the seatbelt restraint then ambled towards the terminal, tapping at the control panel to open the door. The door opened with a mechanic hum then she walked over to the woman and wrapped her arm around her neck, like she did before, and both made their way out of the escape pod. Once outside of the escape pod, both women glanced around only to realize that there were no other escape pods in sight. They were in the middle of a forest with trees more than twenty or twenty-five feet in height. "This is not good!" Karishma blinked, glancing around for any sign of other escape pods.
