[USS Chimera] SD240902.10 =/\= Personal Log =/\= Lieutenant-Colonel Vlimar PontBrillant

=== PontBrillant's personal quarters ===

Vlimar entered his personal quarters in a hurry. His forehead was damp and his left hand hurted. Some stains of blood were visible on his white shirt, that seem to be coming from another century.

Vlimar walked towards his bathroom and looked at himself in the mirror. {{Stupid, stupid, stupid...}}, he though of himself. Vlimar unclinched his left hand, revealing a rather deep piercing wound. Vlimar reached over, looking for his dermal regenerator. Without the ability to find, the impatience in Vlimar's face became noticeable. His face turned from flushed red to deep angry red. Vlimar's right hand kept searching for the regenerator, as he started to voice his impatience. "Bâtard de paufiasse de merde!", he nearly screamed, half from the pain in his hand, half from the fact that once you look for something, you can't find it, but when you aren't, whatever you are not looking for seem to be everywhere.

Within few seconds, Vlimar right hand finally touched it's excalibur, it's Saint-Graal. The dermal regenerator finally was being hold by Vlimar's right hand. He started applying it on his hand, as he started shaking his head in despair. {{What was I thinking?}}, he asked himself.

Moments later, Vlimar exited his bathroom, removed his shirt that he threw in a corner <<Something that is very common in a single man's bedroom, not so much in a married man's ;) >> and sat at his console.

For the benefit of the reader, let's explain that Vlimar passed the last 2 hours in a French Renaissance simulation, in Holodeck 7. Vlimar was acting as the King's musketeer, in the Siege of La Rochelle, where he fought for a good 70 minutes. For the last 20 minutes, Vlimar removed the security settings. It was going so well, that Vlimar became uncareful and got his left hand pierced with a rapier, by a Huguenot. Vlimar finished that duel, then, obviously, exited the holodeck.

Back to the current situation, Vlimar sat at his console and opened a personal log.

- Personal Log, Stardate 240902.08.

The current war situation is not as threatning as I may have logged in the past few days. Thanks for the great leadership skills of Commodore Guzman and the dedication of the USS Chimera and it's crew, I can say, for the first time in days, that we are taking a slight advantage. Except for the Alpha front, where the Chimera is leading the battle, our fronts have been calmed for days. Warbirds have been seen retreating back to the RSE territory, completly abandonning the Neutral Zone.

But, something tells me it is not over. It is calm. Too calm, maybe. My instincts tells me that something is going to happend. I actually doubt that the Tal Shiar will abandon such precious positions as the Neutral Zone, or, even, our Starbase.

On a more personal matter, life in this base is good. All facilities are up and running, even though we are still grossly understaffed. However, I heard that the Starbase might open a larger civilian area in the bottom decks, which would probably spark up life out here. I guess tell will tell. In any events, this is it for today. Vlimar out.

Vlimar stayed there momenterally. He was lost in his thoughs.
