<<OOC: happens after a JL we are about to finish and send
between General Sharpe and LT. Mumacik>>
======= Office of Fleet level security Chief, SB 234: UNITY
======
Signing the document, Mumacik pressed the "SEND" button and
waited two seconds before the computer confirmed sending the
message. It was addressed to SB 234: UNITY JAG department,
SB 234: UNITY XO and USS Chimera CO. It contained an
official charge of unauthorized entry, Starfleet property
stealing and action conducting unworthy a Starfleet officer
against Major Cortez and two other members of USS Chimera
security department.
The case was relatively simple. Cortez & co. performed a
nice little plan to acquire weapons belonging to USS Chimera
that were sealed in a secure cargo bay. Their plan
succeeded, but it was not very hard to track their actions
down. UNITY was a SSF Starbase on the edge of a warzone and
unauthorized cargo transports could not go unnoticed.
Internal sensors were not blind either and identified the
start and end points of those transports. The cargo was
beamed to USS Chimera and one crate a while later to the
office of Major General Sharpe. The later transport was
fortunately not successful, cause all VIP quarters
(including all Task Force staff) were protected by transport
inhibitors. The transporter beam was relayed into a secure
isolation cargo bay, where the crate was inspected,
identified and transported back to its original location in
secure cargo bay one. The small note: 'A little gift from
the Chimera - Cortez' gave the first hint leading to the
charged officers.
The rest of the investigation was simple and smooth. Using
his privileges, Mumacik inquired a log copy from USS
Chimera's transporter logs. From there it was easy to
identify who and what was beamed from UNITY around the time
the theft was conducted. None of the three officers were on
board the UNITY so Mumacik could not go and arrest them, but
he immediately prepared the charges and send them out to
proper places. Captain Cropa Rojac or Captain Trent Rodgers
or the JAG department will sooner or later chime at the
charged officer's door.
With Admiral Guzman's absence, Captain Rodgers was very busy
with TF and UNITY matters and he had little time to take
care about less important security business. That most
probably the reason why a dozen of requests still remained
unanswered, including complaints from General Sharpe.
