[USS Chimera] SD 240812.19 || Operations Inspection JL || Capt Rojac (CO) & 1Lt Reese (COps) ||

[Operations Control Center - Deck 12]

Rojac made the short walk from the Brig and Armory on the same deck to
the Operations Department Control Center for his inspection of that
department. He passed through the threshold into the busied interior
of the control center. The walls were lined with panels upon panels
describing the current status and power distribution throughout the
ship. There was a crewman monitoring the status of the computer
system, the holodecks, the power consuptions of different systems, the
replicators, and life support. Every operation throughout the ship had
to path through this room. If the bridge was the ship's brain, this
was the solar plexus.

Jade was in her office in the ODCC (Operations Department Control
Center) talking with the groups that she sent to help the engineers
with the transporters. +taps+ Ensign how is it going down there?
+taps+ Jade asked the Ensign in-charge of the operation team.

+taps+ It's going Lt, but it's still going to be awhile. +taps+ Ensign
said tapping a few things on the console she was working on.

+taps+ Alright keep me updated. +taps+ Jade said cutting the line when
she saw the CO walk into the ODCC.

Rojac turned around to regard the approaching marine officer. "At
ease." He called aloud, returning the Operation Chief's salute letting
the entire room get back to work as they had all stood at attention at
the Lieutenant's pronouncement. "It's good to see you, Lieutenant.
Would you care to show me around?"

"Of course Captain." Jade said smiling glad to finally meet the
Captain under better circumstances, "so far we're still running
diagnostics and keeping an eye on the power consumptions making sure
everything is running smoothly." Jade said pointing to some of the
monitors.

"I also just spoke with the Ensign in charge of the team I sent down
to help with the transporters and he said it's still going to be
a while, but they're making progress." Jade said walking towards the

back part of the ODCC which housed some offices, a conference room for
any meetings that the department might need to have and some more
consoles and monitors.

"Yes, I've spoken to Engineering about that this morning, and they
concur with your report. LtCmdr Scardona says that major modifications
will be complete by this evening." Rojac said. "How are the crew
settling in to their accommodations, Lieutenant? Are you receiving
many complaints about replicator programs, furnishings, or scheduling
holodeck time?"

"From reports they're settling in fine some of the replicators are
giving us some problems, but I believe that's just because we've a lot
of people using them all at once." Jade said taking a second to sign
some orders to replicate some piece of equipment, "so we're working
setting up a better queue system and as for scheduling holodeck time I
was actually about to take a look at that. It'll probably be another
week until we've that settled and dealt with." Jade said knowing
holodeck time allows the crew to get some down time, but at the moment
there are more important things that needed her attention.

"Right." Rojac nodded. "As the old saying goes, there are bigger fish
to fry." He crossed his arms as he walked up behind an officer at a
panel, reading over the incoming data. "Engineering was talking about
a slight unbalance in the EPS power distribution system with the
shield and cloak systems, have you noticed the same phenomenon?"

Jade walked up the officer, "Ensign mind if I take a look." Jade said
more of a statement then a question. The ensign nodded and stood up,
so that COps could take a look at the screen, "to be honest this is
the first time I've been able to take a look at this today, but I'll
take a look at it and see what's going on." Jade said downloading the
information to her tablet.

"See if you can aid Commander Scardona in this area." Rojac said. "The
shield and cloak are vital systems in SSF operations. I don't think we
can afford to either one behaving erratically."

"Once I take a look at it and see what's going on I'll get in contact
with Commander Scardona to see what's he thinks is going on and we
can compare notes and come up with a solution to the problem." Jade
said smiling knowing that this now is another thing as a primary thing
that needs to get done.

"Excellent, Lieutenant." Rojac smiled. "That's what I like to hear." He stood up straight, pulling down on his tunic to straighten it out. "Your department looks great, Lieutenant Reese. I think you are settling in just fine." He crossed held out his hand to the marine officer for a handshake. "I will catch up with you later. If you need me, you know how to find me."
