Gustav was working on some mundane task that had been assigned to him
for the time being, it was something to do with testing the power
output levels on the replicator systems that Lt Cmdr Scardona had
assigned him after the inspection of engineering, it was meant to be a
slight punishment for him not letting the CEO answer any of the
Captain's questions and to try and reign in some of Gustav's
enthusiasm, he was just about done when Lt JG Alan Walker buzzed him
on the Comm.

+taps+ Kroitzer here… how can I help you Lieutenant
+taps+ Mimi's had a mishap and I think you should meet me and her at sickbay
+taps+ I'll be right there ASAP Lieutenant…. and Lieutenant thank you,
Kroitzer out
Gustav informed Lt Cmdr Scardona what had happened to Mimi and
requested to be able to leave his post and head to the infirmary that
he promptly agreed on, at that Gustav legged it to the nearest
turbolift.
As Kroitzer approached the infirmary he saw Alan standing waiting on
him to arrive.
Alan took a deep breath letting it out slowly as he said, "We just got
here and.... well.... uumm... Gustav ... she was unconscious when I
found her and still is. I'm sorry man."
"It's ok Alan… I'm just glad that someone found her " Gustav said
impatient to get into the infirmary, adding "I'll take it from here…
your free to return to your duties"
Alan gave a curt nod and went on his way.
Walking into the infirmary Gustav was very apprehensive, he found an
AMO to find out what happened to Mimi but she didn't know and politely
asked him to take a seat and someone will be out to explain the
situation as soon as possible.
A nurse approached Gustav and asked, "Your here about that young
counsellor aren't you?"
"Yes, what's happened… is she ok… where is she" he asked in quick
succession only giving the nurse time to answer the last question.
"We decided to put her in a private room... This way," she said as she
motioned for Gustav to follow her.
Gustav followed, thinking about the "picnic" they shared in
engineering and he wondered if it was something there that caused Mimi
to collapse but quickly dismissed that thought as all hazardous
materials are kept sealed away.
Readouts began to show up on the biobed read out as they entered the
room, "The doctor assigned to this case will be in shortly, but there
isn't any reason that Ensign Hopeler shouldn't see a friendly face
first is she should regain consciousness."
Entering the room Gustav looked at the unconscious body of Mimi on the
biobed in front of him he felt dread and helplessness, he looked at
the nurse and said "Thank you".
He took a seat next to Mimi's bed and gently took hold of her hand and
brought it up to his face kissing the soft skin on the back of her
hand wishing she would wake up and everything would be alright.
Feeling something warm Mimi turned toward that direction and made a
concerted effort to open her eyes. She blinked two or three times in
rapid succession before her eyes finally came open if only just a bit.
Noticing that Mimi was regaining consciousness Gustav signalled the
fact to a passing nurse who then in turn must have signalled the cases
doctor.
Turning back to Mimi Gustav asked softly "how are you feeling"
"Odd," Mimi answered as she drew her eyebrows together as if feeling
some discomfort.
