=/\= Richard’s Quarters – SB Unity =/\=
Getting back to her and Richard's quarters she went in floping down on the couch. She was wearing the new uniform that they wore here at the station, but she had put that on before she had left their quarters. She still looked somewhat frazzled by her encounter with Alexia.
Richard came out of the kitchenette, carrying two mugs of tea, and placed them down on the coffee table. “Hey hun, how’d it go?” He asked, sitting down on the armchair next to the couch.
"That woman is something else." Chloe said shaking her head as she took one of the mugs of tea off the coffee table. "I don't think I've ever seen anyone like that."
“She’s one of the best pilots in the SSF.” Richard mused. “Over two thousand combat flight hours. Its impressive to say the least.”
"That doesn't mean she isn't... strange." Chloe gave some thought in to her last word but could only come up with one word to sum it up nicely.
“Well, everyone’s a little strange.” Richard smirked.
She sipped some of the tea in the mug after it had cooled. "Do you even want me to tell you about it?" Chloe mused. "I think you would be jellious." She smirked.
“Oh go on then.” Richard said, sipping his own tea.
"She thought that she should give me some sort of test, so she gave a very unorthadox... test." She stoped for a moment to see if she could get an edge to how he would react.
“What kind of test?” He asked, casually.
"She tired making pass at me." Chloe scofted. "To see 'what kind of a person I am.'" She said the first in a way that made it sound like nothing at all.
Richard laughed. “Oh man, I knew she was crazy when I hired her, but that’s just funny.” He exclaimed.
Chloe raised an eyebrow. "I didn't think it was that funny at the time, Richard." She told him over a sip of the tea.
“You want me to have a word with her?” He asked, seriously.
Setting her mug back on the coffee table she stood up moving next to him as he sat in the chair. "No, don't worry yourself about it." She said with a smile as she kissed him on his cheek. She looked at her stuff still sitting by the doorway. Last night she didn't have much time for unpacking and she hadn't needed anything out of her duffles at the time anyway.
"I think I should unpack those now." She said nodding toward her bags.
“Might be a good idea.” Richard said. “Might make you feel more at home.”
"Would you mind if I shuffled some of your stuff around in the drawers to make some room?" Chloe was sure he wouldn't mind, but she still wanted to ask him and not seem rude.
“Sure.” He said. “Once you’re done, you want to explore the promenade with me?”
"I noticed a lot of the little shops when I arived, so I wouldn't mind at all." She said with a smile before she walked into the bedroom with one of her bags to start putting her clothes away. She normally liked being able to wear civilian clothing when ever she didn't have to wear her uniform.
Richard followed her into the bedroom to give her a hand putting her things away. He moved some of his things across the room to another drawer pack, so she had her own dresser, and made room in the closet for her large collection of clothes and shoes.
She was quiet mostly as he helped her, but then she looked to him to ask a question. "Richard?"
“Yeah?” He asked, looking at her.
"You only have one daughter, correct?" she knew this already but wanted to ease into the real question she wanted to ask.
“Yes.” Richard said. “Whom I will be inviting to visit us shortly.”
As she was finishing putting the last of her things she asked, "Have you ever wanted more children... do you want anthor child?"
Richard stopped what he was doing and looked at her. “Is this your way of telling me you’re pregnant?” He asked, suddenly.
She looked to him shaking her head. "No, it's not. However it is my way of saying that I want to be Richard." She looked at him when she said this. The look on her face said this was important to her.
Richard walked over to her and took her hands in his. “Nothing would make me more proud than to father a child with you.” He said. “But I want to do what’s right by you, and the child, and we should be married before we have children. I also want you to be sure you’re ready…”
At the moment she only wanted one child, but it made her pleased that he used the plural form. "Im mentioning it because Im ready to have a child. I wouldn't of said that I wanted one otherwise." The only thing she wasn't completely sure about at the moment was getting married, however she wasn't going to mention that to him at the moment.
“Well, one thing at a time.” He said, smiling. Inside he was racked with turmoil. She was so young and vibrant, and he… well… wasn’t.
She gave him a light peck on the lips, "Yes, one thing at a time. But do keep in mind Richard, I don't want to wait forever. I want a child with you." She said then looked around, seeing that her stuff was all put away. She had gotten rid of most of her stuff before she left the
“Yeah, I’m ready.” He said. “Just remember that I want us to be married before we have any kids, alright?”
"And if this is your way of asking me to marry you, you better try again later. I want to be asked proper mind you." She said, hoping that will postpone that part for now.
“Nah, when I pop the question, I want it to be an occasion that you’ll remember for the rest of your life. Instead of some conversation in our bedroom just before we go shopping.” He said, smiling.
"Alright, then." She said with a soft smile. "Show me around then." She told him in a soft manner as she moved with him twoard the door to their quarters.
