[USS Chimera] SD: 240810.27 Duty Log Cmdr. Wellington

=/\= EAS Heremes - Admiral's Bridge =/\=

Athena could tell by the reactions of those around her that things were not going well and that when they dropped out of warp; they'd be in the thick of things. She let a breath out slowly as her left knee bounced up and down in a short repetitive staccato type of motion. She closed her eyes and let another breath out to a ten count. As she opened her eyes the Hermes dropped out of warp and the view screen displayed the tragedy at hand. Several of the ships seem to float on the black backdrop with a small marble like sphere in the distance and a metal monstrosity at the apex of a torture filled dance.

She only managed to stay in her seat at the sight before her by gripping the arm rest of the chair. The shuttles and escape pods almost appeared to be a lunch that didn't agree with the metal monster. {If.....} Her thoughts were cut off as she felt the warmth of Viktor's movement. {The Chimera.... oh.... things don't look to be going well...} She barely registered the orders that were given around her as she squeezed the arm rest all the harder.

Athena was oblivious to the fact that her knuckle were white and just as clue as to what movements the Hermes and its crew would be taking in the near future. She watched as Shane's vessel broke off from the Erassians and joined the tarantella that seemed to be being preformed for her eyes only. She willed the Chimera to move faster, but her wishes were not to be granted as she watched her ...... home take a hard hit. It brought her out of her chair and to a standing position. The ship rocked and Athena was thrown back into a warm body but both remained on their feet for now.

"...... Wedge Formation," came from Viktor's familiar voice but it really meant nothing to her. She watched intently as the Erassian ships moved to join the dance adding more partners to an already too full floor. A disco tech of lights flashed around the dancers. Every once in a while she would catch one of the rays of light spot;lighting one of the participants and she watched as they added an extra rock to their step.

She saw a ship that she thought was Shane's get hit once and then again, but then slipped away .... or perhaps it was a slightly limping away. She got a glimpse of the one of the Erassian ships taking a solid hit and it rocked for several seconds before resuming its position. A breath seemed to be caught in her throat as the Chimera took another hit and shudder off. The ship shook and a gasp escaped past the vocal cords and her lips when she hit the floor and slid into the chair she had been sitting in only moments ago.
