=/\= EAS Hermes - Admiral's Bridge =/\=
Athena pulled herself off the floor and slowly got to her feet. A sharp pain robbed her of much needed oxygen her lungs and a small gasp abruptly slipped between her lips. Ignoring the pain and fighting back tears her look fell to the view screen again.
What once had looked like a dance contest at a disco tech now more resembled the chaotic running of a child through a haunted house when terrified. A couple of the ships hung in the darkness much like a skeleton would hang out in a closet. Athena shivered with the overwhelming sense of evilness; Like someone lurking in the bushes. {I haven't felt this way since....then.}
She looked around the bridge and only then becoming aware of a console that was aflame. Thanks to the quick actions of the soldier manning that station the fire was quickly being put out. She rotated her head around noting that the other stations seemed to be operating as if nothing out of the ordinary had happened. Her gaze then fell to Viktor and he still seemed to be standing tall and issuing orders.
Moving her attention back to the view screen noted that a few ships were shimmering and shaking just like a ghost would to get your attention. The fighters looked like bats swarming in the sky and the disrupter and phaser fire looked like bits of a spider web that were glisten with moonlight and dew. She continued watching as a SSF ship became dark a motionless as if it were having its blood drained from it by a vampire. A rumbling shudder shook the ship and a thunderous sound ripped through the bridge as a station sparked and sputtered.
